Paul Pogba’s career history until 2019

This FM 2012 player profile of Paul Pogba shows a true talent in real life and virtual. Pogba has undoubted talent but due to step he must take from his CA to PA ability you won’t always see his best in game, but you will experience it if managing the youngster yourself and offering first team football. The future profile above shows a well developed Pogba who can dominate midfield with his passing, physical attributes and brain for Football. What really impressed me though is the Frenchman’s ability to both score and assist after moving to Lyon in my save. He may not be worth the £21.5 million asking price but that should drop drastically with time.

Best buy rating: 8/10

Unreal talent in real life, love watching him play for the reserves.. Too bad he’s off to Juventus. Money talks, but its his loss!

It’s not money you fool, it was for first team football which you weren’t giving him, you even brought Scholes out of retirement instead of playing him!

I’mma gonna snap this one to my Milan Set-up! XD

Also, I am actually pleased to see that he develops this well seeing as how Sir Alex – Better yet, the CPU – ALWAYS puts him on the transfer list. Seems like he can be a good box-to-box midfielder. Speaking of which, Darren, are there any good Box-To-Box midfielders that you can reccomend?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 8, 2012

I don’t use a box to box midfielder in any of my tactics so couldn’t make a recommendation as I have no first hand experience unfortunately but I always look for players that can attack well and have a reasonable understanding of defensive duties but physical attributes are the most important.

This is one of the better future screenshots I’ve seen. Develops into a great player. It’s a shame that players like Ravel Morrison and Pogba are at United on the game, because obviously there’s better players in the first team and they want to be loaned to only the top clubs. I had a save with United where I sold most players over 30 so I could put more young lads in the first team squad from the first season. Morrison and Pogba were bossing the midfield from 2014/2015.

I’m a United fan and it’s such a shame we’ve had to let them go. Ravel is the best young player in the country but his attitude is shocking, you can’t skip training and expect Sir Alex to allow it. Pogba wanted game time + money really does talk. I just hope we don’t see him sign for Madrid later on and wonder ‘what if?’. Still got the next Keano in Tunnicliffe and great prospects in Petrucci, Lingard and Cole. Only way is down after leaving United unless your names Cristiano.

Back on topic, give Pogba game time and surround him with good coaches and he’ll be a top player.

Ravel Morrison the best young player in the country?? Wilshere, Barkley, Chamberlain, Redmond, all far, far better players.

    Hey Darren, how are you?

The other day I was looking for sweeper keepers and ran across one of Raikan007’s suggestions, a young lad called Pierrick Cros who plies his trade at Sochaux. Thought you might want to take a look at him given the relative size of your Keepers list.

Not bad thanks, appreciate the mention but I will not be looking at anymore players for the foreseeable future as the entire database needs updating to represent that of patch 12.2. So until then I won’t be looking at new players I’m afraid as it will take me a long time to update all 119 profiles and every list.

      • comment avatar N.Loureiro March 10, 2012

        new patch already out?

        • comment avatar Darren Smith March 10, 2012

Yeah it is, if you have steam it should automatically update otherwise you’ll need to manually install it.

          • comment avatar N.Loureiro March 10, 2012

            will do!

            Thanks.

  • comment avatar Dean Brickland March 10, 2012

anybody know how to change the database. i downloaded the new one off steam and dont know how to change or do i have to start a new game please help.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 10, 2012

If installed correctly the new database in terms of player changes etc is only usable when starting a new save and selecting the 12.2 patch. But any general in game fixes will apply to all previous saves instantly.

Hey, great info, what role do you suggest training Pogba into? Advanced playmaker support or deep lying playmaker?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 16, 2012

I reckon he’d adapt to either but deep lying playmaker seems the most suitable IMO.

      • comment avatar James March 17, 2012

Thanks for the reply, and awesome site! can’t believe I’m only now coming across it, would of saved me a lot of money on poor transfers!

  • comment avatar darsnider March 21, 2012

A good trick to get expensive but great youngsters is to get them on loan and play them i got pogba on loan as soon as season started trained him to start becoming a beast and then signed him for 16 mill the next transfer window (we all know big clubs are dont like letting go players even if they dont use them Man. U wanted a 33 mill future fee on the loan. After he got 30+ games first team football they resigned him and his price doubled to 4.4m )so i got him from the start of the season trained him like i want and made a 17 mill saving at it.

Do a player profile on damien le tallec please mate.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 26, 2012

I haven’t seen him develop enough I’m afraid.

  • comment avatar darsnider March 29, 2012

give him good coaches and first team football and watch this wonderkid grow, he does have a bit of an aggressive side but a few warnings or fines should see that decrease, but he is a great buy and deserves the rating id put him as a 9 if you could get him under 5 mill

  • comment avatar Nr.3 April 1, 2012

He never comes to anything in my saves, never bought him myself tho, but what about Gylfi Sigurdsson? He’s a beast! Bought him twice myself always been a scoring machine and assist king in the premier!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 1, 2012

He can come to something as shown above it just depends on the CPU as when a players CA is low but the PA is high the computer can mess up his development, the screenshots are with the CPU’s management so it got the development right in my save. We have already profiled Sigurdsson, you can find him in the wonderkids list.

  • comment avatar James April 12, 2012

    What about Ravel Morrison??

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 12, 2012

While he seems to have talent, he has never reached even a decent standard in any of my saves…and without a good future profile I can’t do a report I’m afraid.

  • comment avatar Elimist April 20, 2012

He seems to do when paired with an anchor man like tiote. Reminds me of vieira sometimes, this lad.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 20, 2012

Yeah he does have some Vieira qualities but I think he’s a different type of player in terms of his defensive effectiveness.

  • comment avatar des May 17, 2012

with his physical attributes it’s very easy to give him first team football early on. I did loan him out eventually and will see what happens but I just love the way he likes to play his long range killer balls. Not many playmakers do that as most usually go for short through balls. he’s also good in the air and very strong for his age. when he’s motivated he’s a beast even at 20 years of age.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 17, 2012

I haven’t played him yet but was very impressed with his development and also while playing against him in 2018.

  • comment avatar Tay October 30, 2012

Interesting… in my save, he did absolutely nothing for me, so I sold him. He did absolutely nothing for his next team, so they sold him too.
