Pablo Sarabia’s career history until 2023

This FM 2012 player profile of Pablo Sarabia shows a true wonderkid with fantastic skills. Sarabia can already rotate within most sides and certainly has the potential to be one of the best wingers/attacking midfielders in FM 2012. Just look at his future profile (notice he is 30 years old so physical attributes can be a lot higher.) Not only does Sarabia develop great technical skills but he has fantastic off the ball movement, flair and creativity, obvious signs of a player that can change the tide of any big match. His career stats with Getafe also say a lot alongside his 50 appearances and 17 goals for Spain. £32 million is probably too much but maybe wait a season or so and I’m sure that price will drop.

Best buy rating: 8/10

This guy is awesome. In my second season, he is unhappy at Getafe and keeps asking to leave. I tried a cheeky bid of 8mil but they keep negotiating to £16m, which i don’t have :(

Wow, that is a good price and he can get way better than the screenshots shown in this post as the CPU doesn’t seem to have gotten the best from him. Must be frustrating to see the player at the right price but lack the funds.

      • comment avatar Nick Jones April 20, 2012

Totally. I settled for Leandro for £3.5mil as Real weren’t playing him and he was unhappy.

So got around to trying FM Scout. Few things I’d like to point out. a) The players whose profiles you post are highly rated by that software as well. b) It’s crap.

Alow me to explain. I ran a test with my Torino side. I signed Alex Serrano and had Genie Scout do a profile on him. According to it, Serrano would never have an accelaration value over 11. So I invested (thanks to Maestro Hugo’s training, J Karp’s coach tips, etc) on Serrano’s quickness and got it up to 11 in February. Ran the Scout again and now Serrano will have 13 of Accelaration by the time he reaches his potential. Also, According to it, Demirci will not increase his physical atributes (he will be some sort of Valeron) by the time he reaches his peak…The profile you have here shows differently.

As for FMRTE…let’s say that is the ultimate cheat tool. I’d rather be humbled and lose 8 to Milan than use it.

    Sorry for the rant, Darren.

Thanks for the information mate, I have mentioned time and again that I don’t use any tools to cheat in game so have no idea how FMGenie and FMRTE work, but always find it funny when readers suggest stats on this site have been adjusted because of what GMGenie suggests so its nice to know that tool doesn’t really work (according to your experience anyway.) Unfortunately while there are ways of cheating available gamers will always flock to that option, but I like to think this site is a nice alternative for the gamers that play FM properly.

Bought this kid for my Millwall save and turned into an absolute beast. Had him since he was 21 and his stats at 24 are amazing.

Far better then what the profile suggests IMO.

17 Crossing 19 Dribbling 17 First touch 17 Passing 19 Technique are amazing Technicals for a winger.

His mental attributes are what made him a beast for me IMO. 15 anticipation 16 composure 15 Concentration 20 Creativity (!!) 16 Decisions 17 Flair and 17 off the ball. His determination is a bit low for my taste but flair, creativity and decisions more then makes up for it.

Great physicals for a winger too, 18 Accel 18 Agil and 17 pace but he had poor stamina and fitness for mine lol so that was his drawback.

Overall a bargain at 10mil IMO.

He should be better with human management and the problem we have is most profile are going to be made using CPU management screenshots, so naturally he should get much better than the screenshots above as he has in your save.

Forgot to add that I completely agree with you in saying wait a couple of years.

His price definately does drop after 1-2 years.

I bought him for Real Madrid since he used to be a youth product makes it also easy to abide by the homegrown rules for the Champions cup (League) because I loaned out Granero to PSV Eindhoven. However, I don’t know how I could get the maximum of out Pablo Sarabia (22 years in my save) within 3-4 years because I’m keen to find the right player to replace Christiano Ronaldo as he’s getting older and I need to find a player that would come close to him and I thought Neymar would be the right person, but later on I discovered Neymar plays at his best when he’s upfront in the central forward position as nr 10 but also can play behind the striker. Who would be the right candidate to replace Christiano Ronaldo you think?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 30, 2012

Maybe Gotze could do a job, but I don’t think anyone can replace Ronaldo that players on the right wing as their primary position.

  • comment avatar Pirate of the Indian Ocean July 1, 2012

Dunno whether Gotze could fulfill my expectation to replace Ronaldo but he isn’t the typical winger I’m looking for great player by the way who I bought for Real Madrid for the future as well.

Like I said there isn’t really a world class out and out right winger of the standard you will be looking for.

  • comment avatar Ollie July 29, 2012

Just signed this guy and also have vadillo, i fancy playing him on the right as an inside forward with vadillo on the other side with kovacic as my playmaker, would that be a good tactic or shoul i keep him on his natuaral role. Any help and tips would be appreciated

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 29, 2012

You could do that but I always recommend leaving the player in his natural position, that is where you’ll get the most out of him…try training him on his finishing and composure.

  • comment avatar Ollie July 29, 2012

I’ll try it on and off and see how he plays and developes, cheers for the advice

  • comment avatar JakeyBoy September 1, 2012

Isco or Sarabia anyone? or is it possible to play both?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith September 1, 2012

      Depends on your tactic really.

  • comment avatar JakeyBoy September 1, 2012

I play a 4-2-3-1 with inside forwards a CAM and a complete forward upfront

  • comment avatar Claudiu March 4, 2013

I brought him at Wolves with 7.5 mil Euro in season 2, and in 2017-2018 i sold him to Tottenham for 32,5 mils Euro, and 50% from next sale :D. For me, Sarabia is one of the best players in this game.

What about Cornel Râpă? He is at Steaua Bucharest in 13.3, and at Otelul Galati in 13.2 :D

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 4, 2013

Yeah Sarabia does seem like he could be amazing given the right development.

I’m afraid Rapa isn’t visible in my save meaning you need Romania loaded or a custom database of some sort.

  • comment avatar ams October 7, 2013

hi guys whats is the best training to give to sarabia? winger or inside forward. i got him at dortmund for 7.5 mil as getafe got relegated in my 2nd season he scored 14 goals and 8 assists playing as an inside forward cutting in from the right…

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 8, 2013

Depends on what role you want to play him in, or what attributes you want improving first.

      • comment avatar ams October 10, 2013

i would like him to effectively do a cristiano ronaldo and cut inside and hence offer me goals from the wings.. i am training him as a inside forward but what is the time scale to see real improvements? I must say i was impressed with his return this season…

        • comment avatar Darren Smith October 10, 2013

There is no specific timescale, it varies for every player. Just check his training screen and tick the box ‘show recent attribute changes’ that will then show arrows next to each attribute so you can visibly see the improvement. Just use your judgement and the tools available in training.
