This FM 2012 player profile of Mehmet Ekici shows the wonderkids creativity and technical class. While the screenshot above may not show an abundance of improvement, I believe he can progress much farther under human supervision and care. Either way he’d make a nice edition for any top 6 EPL side and grow to be capable of making any starting XI in the World. The £8.5 million asking price is very fair but his lack of development in dribbling holds my rating below at 8, if you can get his dribbling attribute up then you’ll have a very capable advanced playmaker.

Best buy rating: 8/10

Classy player. Saw him develop into a Xabi Alonso/ Pirlo type midfielder with superb vision. In my Arsenal save he won European Midfielder Of The Year 2015 with an average rating of 7.92 with 7 goals and 12 assists. Beating the likes of Gotze, Fabregas and Crisetig(Captain Of Italy at the time). Listed for the World Player of the year as well. Him and Marin lead Bremen to the Champions League and Bundesliga title! Absolutely outstanding player!

Great to hear mate, he certainly seems capable but its nice to hear it from someones personal experience.

Oh yeah, great player. If you trained him personally, he can be a player like Özil; just a lil bit more defensive. He is more the passive guy, but works really hard on the pitch.

So, if you want to try him: Buy him, 8,5M are almost nothing for that player.

@Darren: I have some suggestions for you. Maybe you find a good one in these, i think they are developing well (Idk, coz i looked for them some patches ago…). Even If they doesnt fit in this table, maybe they are some hidden tipps for you/someone else :)
They should be mostly from Germany:

    -Leandro Bittencourt (A good dribbler)
-Christopher Nöthe (A tank in the front; developing well for me)
-Deniz Naki (Good inside forward, you can say a “little” Sidney Sam)
    -Markus Hendriksen (Trondheim)
    -Patrick Herrmann
    -Stefan Bell

As I said: Dont know how good they are now, maybe you take a look at them. And maybe i helped you with these, many of them arent that reputated in RL ;)

The majority don’t show up in my saves but I’ll take a look later on other saves and consider them.

    Hi Darren.
This is my first year of getting FM and I have to say you have been a fantastic help. I just have one question about the Arsenal tactic. If I use a player like Yaya or Fierro up front, should I change the role from CF support to poacher and should I change the target man settings? Keep up the excellent work

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 11, 2012

Happy to help Benjy. As for your question, you most certainly should adjust the role to poacher with players like that and adjust the target man supply to ‘through ball’. In fact I ended up using just a poacher for that tactic and never looked back.
