Mbaye Niang’s career history until 2018

Niang has incredible potential and would throw punches in the same class as Sanogo. :) £12.5 million is a fair price and represents the level of potential Niang has. The 16 year old grows up to be a goal machine and has scored 114 goals in the French Ligue 1 at the age of 23…imagine what that tally could be by the time he’s 28!! Those of you who know me will be aware that I rarely offer out a 5 star rating or 10 out 10. I signed Niang with Malaga and he was amazing until hitting 23 years of age, when he turned complacent and stopped improving for some reason…now I can’t say if that’s a trait of his or my fault, but I had to take this into consideration and its the only thing making me rate below a 10.

Best buy rating: 9/10

wow…he’s incredible..i think he’s as good as Sanogo..his finishing and composure might not be as good, but his dribbling more than makes up for it. as do his physical attributes which are similar to Sanogo’s. they would form a deadly strike partnership :D

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 25, 2011

They would be a mouth watering prospect together, or even better for me would be Niang and Nangis!! Can’t wait to start showing my XI which will come after more profiles are completed.

• comment avatar Reginaldo Rosario October 25, 2011

I was about to compare him to sanogo when i saw your comment. this is definitely the new sanogo. incredible potential.

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 25, 2011

Yeah he is similar to Sanogo in many different areas.

• comment avatar tom October 25, 2011

I snapped him up as my first ever signing on FM12(before i read this profile) for £7mill!

Key for me was his determination stat at the start of the game…said to me that he will reach his PA

And at only 23 he will improve more…looking forward to him leading my line with my 3mill Sanogo purchase in a few years time!

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 25, 2011

Sanogo actually becomes available for nothing come the first seasons end so look out for him mate. Those two will be ridiculous.

• comment avatar tom October 26, 2011

Agreed…

Just seen his career stats…206 games 114 goals…

Hes only 23!!!!

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 26, 2011

Yeah, he’s incredible and so many goals at such a young age.

• comment avatar dx_xl October 27, 2011

Thank God I started my managerial career with SM Caen :)

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 27, 2011

lol, yep you have Niang and Nangis upfront….now thats exciting!

• comment avatar MVB October 28, 2011

Just snapped him up for Newcastle for £5m, even more of a bargin!

Any thoughts on his training/development to make sure he reachs his full potential

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 28, 2011

I would just recommend using the normal schedules be be sure to have great coaches and upgrade your facilities. Also make sure you offer him some first team football because he won’t improve without it.

• comment avatar neil brabbs October 28, 2011

just gave him 1st start in pre season friendly and bagged himself hat trick in first 45mins.wot a player!

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 28, 2011

Yeah I think this guy is going to be all the talk of FM 2012…I have him with Malaga and can’t wait to see him develop.

• comment avatar neil brabbs October 30, 2011

first premier league start after his return from u20’tournament,scores and gets man of match.if u sign one player, make it this kid!

• comment avatar Darren Smith October 30, 2011

I couldn’t agree more, he scored a goal every three games for me in la liga…not bad for a 16 year old espeically considering he’s 16.

• comment avatar Martin K November 1, 2011

I just snapped him for next season for what would be around £10m. But then i look on this Muniain, he also look incredible, will he be on the same level as niang? Theres just so many great young strikers.

• comment avatar Darren Smith November 1, 2011

Muniain is a brilliant player but different to Niang…I think Muniain is solid from the start but Niang is the new Sanogo, give him five seasons and he should start blowing your mind. Muniain won’t be available for less than £25 million after a few seasons I think so may be a little pricey.

• comment avatar Martin K November 1, 2011

i plan to play them together, would it be good? Niang as striker, and Muniain to assist and dribble. Sorry for my bad english.

• comment avatar Darren Smith November 1, 2011

Yeah they’d both be very dangerous together. Alternatively, if you wanted to play a 4-5-1, you could use Niang as poacher upfront and Muniain as an inside forward from the left wing.

• comment avatar Martin K November 1, 2011

what is poacher? an assist attacker? or a goal getter? thx for ur answers they help alot. I play a 4-4-2 diamond with a tranquista. The left attacker is deep laying, and other is a pure striker.

• comment avatar Darren Smith November 1, 2011

A poacher is a goal getter and nothing else. He will play on the shoulder of the opposition defence and always look to attack goal but not really to assist anyone else. A poacher needs great pace, dribbling, finishing, composure and off the ball movement makes a big difference too.

• comment avatar Matt November 7, 2011

Urgh, had to spend 20 million to get him!! Really hoping he proves worth it in the end! Also got Lenny Nangis so my strikers of the future are set!

• comment avatar Darren Smith November 7, 2011

Thats a lot of cash but give him first team action and he’ll be well worth it mate. :) Niang and Nangis would be a deadly combo.

• comment avatar Fotis November 9, 2011

hi guyz i have the team called pas giannena it’s a greek small team but i have managed in the second year to take the greek championship and qualied in the 16th of euro cup..! plz help me with some good players cause i am scouting all the time but i can’t manage to bring these players to my team.. thank you for you help.

• comment avatar Darren Smith November 9, 2011

Sorry mate but I’ve never played in such a country with that type of rep so not sure who’d want to move there.

• comment avatar Fotis November 11, 2011

it’s ok thanks for reply man.. ;)

• comment avatar mario November 23, 2011

ok,I’ve signed fierro, niang,e.torres, sanogo and now paloschi is coming on free transfer (I’m all about wonderkids, kind of collector heh) plus I still have doyle and fletcher in my Wolves team (probably going to sell them asap).so,the question is – who should play in first team??can my attack (442)work with only poachers?

• comment avatar Darren Smith November 23, 2011

Wow those are all quality wonderkids….I’d probably use Niang partnered with Torres and then for rotation partner Sanogo with Fierro….obviously Niang and Sanogo could be used as complete forwards. Then you can try and mix Paloschi in there too.

• comment avatar Peter G December 7, 2011

I bought Niang for 5 mill for my Wolves league. I gave him a couple of subs appreances in the first season and he scored 3 goals. Into my second season now and couple of his attributes have gone up but his determination had rocketed to 19. I only play Papise Cisse upfront on his own, but should I start playing him more regularly at 17? Also bought Andile Jali for £350k and he’s shot up to £5mill already. Got a decent team with Christin Eriksen, John Fleck, McDonald Mariga, Romario RB.

• comment avatar Darren Smith December 7, 2011

I bought Niang with Malaga and used him against the medium and easier opponents for first two seasons. After that his attributes started to shape nicely. Wicked side you have there.

• comment avatar Peter G December 8, 2011

Bought some Argentinian playmaker Walter M… and I cant remember his name, but he cost round £16mill and he has never had a cap. Most of the fees are over 48 months so I need some success of they will be in debt (although I do still churn out £500k profit a month) Did sell alot of dross including Doyle, Blake and Vokes. Bayern are interested in Cisse at £18mill so I might have to sell up to balance the books and buy a cheaper alternitive! Any reconmendations? I am in the Europa League due to and FA cup final defeat to Arsenal who already in the champs league.

• comment avatar Darren Smith December 8, 2011

Sorry which Cisse is it you may sell, what position and role is he best at?

• comment avatar Peter G December 9, 2011

Papise Cisse. He is a Striker, he starts off at Frieburg

• comment avatar Darren Smith December 9, 2011

Yeah he’s quite good but I’m not a massive fan of strikers that can’t dribble.

• Pingback:Who is the best wonkerkid in the game

• comment avatar Peter G December 12, 2011

Cisse is actaully banging them in now and am 5th in the League with 22 games gone in the second season. Walter Montillo is the Argentina playmaker I bought. Check him out, he is good, especially for Wolves

• comment avatar Darren Smith December 12, 2011

Thanks for the mention, I’ll take a look tonight.

• comment avatar Heresy January 12, 2012

In the first season he scored 10 goals in 16 appearences. And this kid was only 16! At the start of the second season he scored a goal against ManU in Champions Trophy. Gameiro’s form is very iffy, he can get 6.0 rating in one match and then 3 days later score a hattrick. Niang has been in top form from the season kick-off and at the age of 17 is my main striker till Gameiro gets it together. I’m scared to think what this kid will be capable of at the age of 25.

• comment avatar Darren Smith January 12, 2012

He is certainly a beast and I enjoyed similar form from him with Malaga but he never really developed his mental attributes to an acceptable level for me.

• comment avatar Heresy January 12, 2012

During the last year he made huge improvements. Here are his stats at 17:

anticipation: 11 (+3 after a year of training)
composure: 15 (+1)
concentration: 10 (+1)
determination: 16
off the ball: 14 (+2)

dribbling: 14 (+1)
finishing: 14 (+2)
first touch: 14 (+1)
technique: 15 (+2)

going for dribbling and finishing after off the ball reaches 15, which should come by the end of the season if he continues developping at this speed. And I readlly hope it won’t slow down for another 3-4 years :P

• comment avatar Darren Smith January 12, 2012

I had very similar development but after three or four seasons the development seemed to stop and his mental attributes were left a little short but even then he was still one of the greats so if you can get him to continue developing then he’s a brilliant player.

• comment avatar Karl January 19, 2012

guy is a total bargain. I’m Man U and I signed this guy to develop and my assistant manager think he can play at the same level as Rooney lol. Scored 4 goals last game starting for the U18 squad lol.

• comment avatar Darren Smith January 19, 2012

He is certainly talented that’s for sure.

• comment avatar Mow February 5, 2012

Hey, I think I’ll let him play first in Secondteam and than, if he become a really great player, I’ll let him play in First team, Do you think that’s right or can he just play with the Firstteam?

P.S My club is Fenerbahçe

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 5, 2012

He’ll never be a great player if you do that, he needs to play a minimum of 15 games a season and the double that after two years.

• comment avatar Dan February 5, 2012

I have this guy on my Swansea game, snapped him up for £1.8m and he has scored 32 league goals in 29 games and 49 all season. to top that off he scored four against Real Madrid in the Champions League final. He is the greatest player on FM2012 by a country mile

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 5, 2012

I think he’s certainly one of the best strikers FM12 has to offer, did brilliantly early on for my Malaga side.

• comment avatar Brandon February 6, 2012

Niang or Kadlec?

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 6, 2012

Very close call but I’d have to say it depends on what you prefer, Niang is a beast while Kadlec is more about technique and poacher like play.

• comment avatar nathan m February 9, 2012

Quality player, what about Adama Souare?
I played Niang and Souare up front for the first time this season and the two of them bagged just under 100 goals for the season and tonnes of assists.

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 9, 2012

I can’t find that player in any of my games I’m afraid. Maybe you need a certain nation loaded to view him.

• comment avatar nathan m February 9, 2012

• comment avatar nathan m February 9, 2012

got him on a free from lille
scored 48 goals in 51 appearances last season

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 9, 2012

He’s a regen, not a real player which means he is made up by the computer and will not appear in anyone elses game.

• comment avatar nathan m February 9, 2012

Oh right, my bad haha! Shame for you lot then!

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 9, 2012

Couldn’t agree more, he’d be a welcome addition to my game :)

• comment avatar just ask February 22, 2012

what do you think? niang can use as alone striker? and what is the best role? sorry for my bad english

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 22, 2012

Yeah he can be used as lone striker and works best as poacher in my opinion.

• comment avatar Matt Carre February 25, 2012

Although he scores a lot for me, Niang’s stats look nowhere near as good as yours and that’s with starting every game since his arrival and high youth and training systems, he did suffer from a broken leg for 8 months but does it usually effect young players that badly?!

• comment avatar Darren Smith February 25, 2012

Well that is 8 months without development at all and then he’d probably take a another month before he could get back into the swing of things, so it could have effected him. But he should still be able to reach this level if trained and used properly.

• comment avatar Jonny March 18, 2012

How can you be happy working with a lone poacher? It seems far more entertaining to me to build a counterattacking team with an all-round striker and wingers and AMC to support!

It will get the best out of players with good finishing and passing. Suárez on my game has got 11 goals and 13 assists about a third of the way through the season (his form must drop!)

• comment avatar Darren Smith March 18, 2012

Everyone plays the game differently, I like winning and that is what my tactic provides.

• comment avatar Robosprog March 31, 2012

Wow, you didn’t develop him well!
At 20 years old on my save for sheffield wednesday in premiership he has dribbling and finishing 16 and same with first touch and technique nearly 16, with high determination and bravery (15/17). He scored in his first season over 75 goals for us and 40 in the league, with a further 49 so far this season overall.

• comment avatar Darren Smith March 31, 2012

This is a screenshot of the CPU’s development not mine so get your facts right before commenting please.

• comment avatar rohan April 8, 2012

i usually get him for £2.58m compensation on the first day of a new save ie:2nd july 2011.i m going to begin my 3rd season and i have just given him 9 games in the first team till now but he plays for the reserves and u18 and has scored 68 goals in the 2nd season in 58 starts in the reserves and u18’s.will he continue to develop in the reserves and u18 or first team game are important?

• comment avatar Darren Smith April 8, 2012

I’d say he’ll be OK for the first few seasons but could do with some first team football from the second season really…try introducing him slowly against the easier teams.

• comment avatar Casey McHugh April 26, 2012

I’m in 2016 on my save and I’ve just come across some fantastic talent called Paolo Hurtado from Peru ask if you want any screenshots

• comment avatar Darren Smith April 26, 2012

That player is not visible in patch 12.2 with large database and the major European leagues loaded…so we can’t profile him I’m afraid.

• comment avatar The Funshow June 7, 2012

I’m not sure about him I was going to buy him but Francis Cagagio said he is only fairly good same as yaya sanogo

• comment avatar Darren Smith June 7, 2012

I wouldn’t go off your scouts all the time, I tend to find them wrong on a lot of occasions.

• comment avatar chrisk June 19, 2012

have signed this guy and sonogo. a pair made in heaven.

only 3 mill for both as well

• comment avatar Darren Smith June 20, 2012

Bargain at that mate, they will be lethal.

• comment avatar Joe July 3, 2012

Darren what order would you put the likes of Niang, Sanogo, Fierro, Oliviera and Kadlec in?

• comment avatar Darren Smith July 3, 2012

Its close but probably Fierro, Sanogo, Niang, Oliviera and then Kadlec.

• comment avatar Stuart Granger July 9, 2012

Hes currently on trial at Arsenal – FM knows, yet again!

• comment avatar Darren Smith July 10, 2012

Thats it mate, no wonder some clubs use the FM database.

• comment avatar BasedGod August 3, 2012

I have him coming in on January first 2012. Should I try to get him in some games with Licerpool, keep him on the reserves, or loan him out to my SPL feeder club? I was thinking play him when I can and get him a good mentor and then loan him out in 2012 Summer window.

• comment avatar Darren Smith August 3, 2012

I personally think he’d be best on loan in Scotland to grab some goals and confidence, then introduce him into the Liverpool squad a season later.

• comment avatar James August 3, 2012

Darren, would Niang or Yaya Sanogo be more suitable for a Deep Lying Forward role ?

• comment avatar Darren Smith August 4, 2012

To be honest I wouldn’t use either in such a role as it feels like a waste of what they are best at…but if any Sanogo may be best.

• comment avatar Chuck August 4, 2012

Niang or Seydou Doumbia ?

• comment avatar Darren Smith August 4, 2012

Doumbia probably but if you invest in Niang’s development then he can pass Doumbia’s level.

• comment avatar Harper O'Keeffe August 4, 2012

I am Man City. Who should I
use to tutor M’baye? Thanks in advance.

• comment avatar Darren Smith August 4, 2012

I couldn’t say as I have never tutored him, just find someone who plays similar to him and has good determination etc.

• comment avatar Goldencore August 28, 2012

This player is a beast!
Just finished his 1st season as Inter’s main attacker (he’s 20 now) scored 40 goals in 34 matches (Serie A) and a total of 56 out of 50 matches played.
I found out he’s gonna develop a good relationship (fast) with Diego Milito, and looks like the latter could help him gettin even better.
p.s. looks like Milan is gonna sign him, or so i heard

• comment avatar Darren Smith August 28, 2012

He certainly is and SI got it right judging by the interest that has been shown in him recently.

• comment avatar Minimisund August 30, 2012

Hey, my niang is twise as good as that pick at a age of 21, im gonna se hes how he turns out in a few years and ill post u a pick

• comment avatar Darren Smith August 30, 2012

Hmmm, he won’t be twice as good as that would be impossible as his attributes can’t go above 20, but I know what you are trying to say. I’d expect him to be better in your save as this one was with CPU management not human and its well known that the CPU doesn’t get the most out of players.
