This FM 2012 player profile of Marko Marin was in part thanks to one of our readers BWR, so cheers for the future profile mate. After seeing that, Marin’s potential is obvious, I’d put this kid just below the category of Gotze and Neymar which is really saying something. And I personally believe if the future screenshot above had been taken a few seasons earlier then Marin would look even better, as he seems to have dropped a little physically due to his age. This wonderkid has superb versatility playing left wing, attacking midfield or even upfront if required and his price tag of £11.75 million probably makes Marin one of the best buys in terms of value for money.

Best buy rating: 9/10

darren do you look at the workrate of wingers sometimes or does it not matter like for example …ozil hes a very good player but his workrate is poor ???? as much as i like marin is workrate poor which makes me think hes lazy on the pitch and doesn’t work hard enough .. is what im saying right or is there a pacific attributes tht makes up for his workrate ???

        thanks.

It depends on the player really, but for me a winger doesn’t need too much work rate as I don’t expect my wingers to track back much.

Looks like Chelsea have snapped up this kid in real life, let’s see if he gets as good as he does on this! With Chelsea’s kind of facilities, who knows!

Certainly looks good and if SI’s track record is anything to go by then he’ll turn into a gem.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 27, 2012

Definitely worth signing if he’s listed.

I’m glad this has helped mate. TBH theres tonnes of players I’d recommend but without knowing your game etc I’d just be writing up names I have already mentioned…I’d suggesting looking through the wonderkid list for players that are 4 star or above.

Hey Darren, I’m really having a difficult time finding a scoring right-footed IF AML for my Everton side. I had Hoilett who was decent but Man City paid his release clause. who would you recommend?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 28, 2012

I’d recommend using someone like Weiss, Costa or Willian…not sure about their favored foot but all great players capable of doing an excellent job in that position.

    Marin vs Perotti… thoughts?

Depends on what you look for in a winger but I prefer Marin.
