Mapou Yanga Mbiwa’s career history until 2017

At first Mbiwa has good physical stats but everything else is very average. But as the years progress, so does he. All the atttibutes you associate with a good defender Mapou has in abundance. He played on a regular basis in every year since the start of the game and has a pretty solid average rating and also earning a good number of Man of the Match awards. He has represented his country an impressive 25 times and at £5 million, you will be laughing all the way to the bank!!

Best buy rating: 9/10

    which better Mbiwa or Prestia?

    • comment avatar Jonathan Carver August 21, 2012

I’ve never been able to get the best out of Prestia, but with the right training he can be awesome so comparing potentially how good they could be I would choose Prestia.

But I’ve always gone for Mbiwa as I think his progress is easier to obtain, and he could probably be better than the screenshot above with human management!!

Not sure about Mbiwa, but for me Prestia has been pure class. I started a save with Porto, where i experimented with playing youngsters a lot more than I think people usually do. In the beginning my intention was to get his development going and then send him out on a couple of loan spells to aid the progress. But after 1-2 seasons he was starting to building a monster pairing with Otamendi, and retained spot in the starting lineup.

Every transfer window i get terrorised by Barcelona for his signature, but I respectfully decline :)

He can develop alot better than this, his profile on this website shows what he is capable of. I think alot more tutoring would have helped the youngster develop a bit better for you m8.

Yes, he is much much better in my Porto save. I assume being tutored by Otamendi has aided his cause. That brought his determinations up to 18, and the main attributes for a central defender are all at 17 (tackling, marking, positioning, heading). And the best part, he’s still developing a lot! He’s just 22 years old in my save at the moment.

And also, he has now surpassed Otamendi and is now my best DC. He demanded a new contract with considerably higher wage after a lot of interest from Barca. But he’s still just on 22k per week, which is quite silly for one of the best central defenders in the game.

I wonder if someone could help me assign roles and duties to my PSG team to make all the players more effective? My team is: GK-Sirigu, DCR-Sakho, DC-Vertonghen, DCL-Alex, MCL-Matuidi, MCR-Montolivo, AMR-Willian, AML-Marin, AMC-Pastore, STCR-Lewandowski, STCL-Podolski

Good player, have him in my Gladbach-save (Montpellier relegated, easy buy). Very solid right fullback right now, and his appearences in the centreback are fine for me. In maybe 1-2 years (When Dante retires) hes my first choice centreback.

Shortly: A must-buy for smaller teams with ambitions, a great guy for any bigger clubs.
