Bonatini’s career history until 2016

Leo Bonatini is a hidden gem from Brazil. At 17 he looks very promising, with a few decent attributes already, he has then grown nicely and now is playing for one of the powerhouses of Brazilian football alongside Neymar. He is only 21 and still has a lot more time to develop, especially if he moves to Europe. He will never be as good as his Santos strike partner but can become a top class striker for any European side. He can be brought for less than £1 million and is amazing value for money.

Best buy rating: 8.5/10

Very interesting player Karl, I have never seen this one before…I don’t think he’ll ever rise to Fierro and Ongenda standard but certainly should come close as an all rounder.

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 13, 2012

I dont think most gamers have noticed him, he only shows up with the Brazilian league loaded up and he probably never reaches his full potential. I agree, he will never be as good as them but he is a very good striker.

What do you think of Kolbeinn Sigurdsson ? and do you have a list of good GK except the ones that were reviewed on this website.

    • comment avatar poe August 14, 2012

for me (Ajax) Sig. is a beast. He almost scoring in every game, he has good character, he is a team player and always keeps the ball high and waits for movement from his teammates to assist them.

By the way what about Alberto Costa from Valencia, Firmino and Fernando (DM)?

      • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 14, 2012

I like Firmino and I think he is going to be profiled by someone else, Fernando is a good player and Alberto Costa has never really turned out wellin my saves.

Sigborssan is a very good striker but he is not as good as the likes of Sanogo, Ongenda and Co. His price tag is likely too be pretty big so I will not be profiling him. Thee is a lot of good GKs, most are on this site. The obvious ones are Lloris, Neaur (spelling) and Casillas but they are nearly imposible to sign.

i was going to recommend this guy to you yesterday coz i just bought him for sunderland

  • comment avatar Yapi Yapo August 14, 2012

And also what about Mathias Destro ?

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 14, 2012

He can turn out very good, I think he is going to be profiled by one of the scouts

  • comment avatar Dan Scutt August 14, 2012

I’ve noticed Bonatini before and actually signed him but never played long enough to develop him unfortunately, looks like a real gem from CPU mangement could be better under human management.

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 14, 2012

This is from one of my saves where I played and managed him for two years at Guarany, and he developed nicely but I didn’t have him for long enough to fully develop him. He still has a lot of developing to do in the future screenshot.

  • comment avatar Darren August 14, 2012

do you think hes good enough to start for sunderland

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 14, 2012

It depends on your game, what year you’re in, who your other strikers are, how good are Sunderland, but it is always good to give youngsters games. Maybe play him in the early rounds of cups and maybe broing him on for 20-30 mins when the match is won already.

      • comment avatar Darren August 16, 2012

im in my 2nd season my other strikers are niang, fierro,ji dong won and wickham and i think il play him thanks for the advice

  • comment avatar Jonathan Carver August 14, 2012

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 14, 2012

Thanks mate, hardly a risk is he ;)

  • comment avatar Ross August 15, 2012

kind of like a poor mans Damiao.

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 15, 2012

Yeah, I guess he kinda is. Nowhere near as good at the start though.

  • comment avatar step August 15, 2012

if i start a season in the next year the players come back as the regular year or stay in the clubs ?

  • comment avatar Zak August 17, 2012

In my game (with West Brom) barcelona signed him and he turns into a real goal machine. Better than the screenshot and 1 year younger. Wouldn’t regard him as highly as fierro, but as high as Sanogo or Niang definitely

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 17, 2012

Maybe you could give me screenhots?

      • comment avatar Zak August 18, 2012

Yeah sure. would I do that? Also I am not playing on the new patch, would that make a difference?

        • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 18, 2012

If you play FM in full screen then press ALT+F9, you will find your screenshot in the football manager 2012 folder in your documents. Then you have to upload the image using a website like imageshack or photo bucket and post the link here!
We need a screenshot of his profile and his career history. If he can reach the level he is at on the newer patch it doesn’t matter.

          • comment avatar Zak August 18, 2012

Ah crap sorry, his really beast profile was on another save I can’t find, not my west brom one. But, in the west brom one he is one and a half years younger with around the same stats…better physical but only 15 finishing and 17 off the ball at the moment. He is ripping it up in Barca though, would you still like screenshots. Damn, so frustrated I couldn’t show you the amazing one I had in 2016, he had ridiculous stats. Fierro esque.

  • comment avatar Zak August 18, 2012

By the way, any chance of a Connor Wickham profile? He’s looking very good, curious to see him with good management.

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton August 18, 2012

Shame about the screenshots, if the screenshots are similar I don’t really see the point of changing them, but thanks for the offer. I haven’t seen Wickham develop well so until I do I won’t be profiling him, one of the other scouts may do though

  • comment avatar DaEmperah August 19, 2012

Real Madrid bought him in the second season

  • comment avatar FredRead12 August 22, 2012

I would love to get him but he has gone to Barcelona in my save so I don’t think he will wanna come to Brighton although Brighton have Won the Premier League twice in a row

  • comment avatar FredRead12 August 22, 2012

can you put up another profile from FM2012

  • comment avatar cochis August 29, 2012

I bought him for Ajax at 18, sold Sigporsson to Inter and started him straight away he scored 39 in 37 games, including 8 in the Champs league, just started his second season in.the side and he’s got 6 in 3 games so far. For the price he’s a beast.

  • comment avatar Harper O'Keeffe September 10, 2012

As soon as I saw Leo developed at 21 he could make a good inside forward. What do you think guys?

    • comment avatar Karl Deighton September 10, 2012

I dont think he would do very well as an IF. He would need to improve on a lot of attributes like flair, pace, accelaration, dribbling, agility etc

  • comment avatar Ammet October 29, 2012

Anyone wants to know how he is in fm13 in juventus? Add me on facebook: Ammet Al

I can show you other players as well.
Papiss cissé for example has 20 in finishing, 18 off the ball and 18 in anticipation
