Leandro’s scouting report from Cagigao of Arsenal

Leandro’s profile aged 26 in the year 2019

Leandro’s career history until 2019

Leandro is a young explosive wonderkid from Gremio. He looks very promising and has bags of potential at the tender age of 18, his pace and dribbling skills also mean he can moulded into a winger bringing goals from either flank. The above screenshots show a grim future for the striker, but please ignore them. He was signed by Real, left to rot in the reserves with no game time and even when out on loan barely made an appearance. This lack of experience has not only hindered his development but also made Leandro worse. I am willing to bet that if you sign him and offer regular first team football this kid will be prolific! Just be sure to train him individually on finishing…either way his minimum fee release clause of just £8.75 million makes it worth the risk.

Best buy rating: 7.5/10

easily my fav signing…level with Mbaye Niang…signed for man utd and progressed into a fanastic striker in the poacher role…paid 10mill to ensure i beat real madrid 2 his signature…

Yeah I was bitterly disappointed to see other clubs hadn’t nurtured him properly as that kind of ruined the profile :( Glad to hear you say he turned out fine.

  • comment avatar Nathan October 31, 2011

I got him first time around when I tried out a season, he had a good season and developed well. Forgot to grab him straight away in the game I’m playing now so he’s rotting in RM atm, just when I need a good young right winger… Agree that he’ll be good, better team player than Niang

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 31, 2011

I think almost anyone is a better team player than Niang lol ;) However, Sanogo wouldn’t pas the ball to any of my Newcastle side in FM11 and I’m glad he didn’t :) Thanks for the feedback mate.

funny, seems real madrid goes for him in every game, including mine. I was hoping to get him but real madrid is real madrid…

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 8, 2011

Yeah I agree, he always goes there on my saves too.

  • comment avatar rui.p December 15, 2011

does this wonderkid evolves well if put on amr ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 15, 2011

I personally haven’t tried but would say he looks to have the ability for that position.

  • comment avatar rui December 16, 2011

in my save real madrid buy it .. so i will wait 1 or 2 seasons and i will make an offer for him and make im an amr

  • comment avatar jose mourinho December 25, 2011

is it only in my save that he got into barcelona??
    hahaha

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 25, 2011

      I haven’t seen that happen yet :)

  • comment avatar jorge January 18, 2012

In my one he is on my benfica side with carlos fierro and Erick Torres.
I play with him on the right and he scored 15 goals on hes first season.
    Wonderful signing.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2012

Good to know he has been successful for you, this profile is tough to judge from as he’s missed a tonne of games.

      • comment avatar Heresy January 21, 2012

My previous Arsenal game got bugged and I need to restart it (Niang on a youth contract not making any sort of progress and considering contract for a year, assists and goals handed to players who had nothing to do with them) but I tried getting Leandro and… well.. maybe it’s just bad luck but his work permit has been turned down twice! And Germio stand by what they say – 10,5M Euro and not a dime less. But I’m gonna make him work and I believe he may be better than Walcott actually (there’s a 2 year difference between them and stats are similar). His determination could be a little higher but I hope he’s gonna make good progress nonetheless.

Alright, first season having Leandro in my Arsenal team. And it was like pulling teeth. This guy has been so shy on the football pitch. Got the ball and immediately wanted to pass it along. Rarely attempted a dribble. 28 first team appearences, 19 subs, mostle with a rating of 6.60, i just pushed him so that he’d score or assist and finally he managed to get a few good results, 7 goals from 91 attempts.

His technical stats didnt improve much but he got +3 in determination and at least +1 in most of the other mental and physical attributes. Is he worth 10M Euro? IMO, if you’re patient with him, he will be.

  • comment avatar Frank February 1, 2012

You can scout Lacina Traore? i don’t see his player profile here..

i bought him in 2014 from Kuban for 10M and after 3 years his value is about 35M
in 3 years he won 3 best player and 3 best scorer in Serie A..now is Juventus captain..

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 1, 2012

Unfortunately he doesn’t develop too well in any of my saves and without a good future profile I can’t do a report. If you want to provide a great future profile screenshot with his career history too then I can take a look and see if they’re good enough for a report.

  • comment avatar Frank February 1, 2012

ty very much, unfortunately i lost my saves, so i start new career scouting this talent and report, cuz nobody talks about him in FM12 forums..

p.s sorry for my bad english

    bye

  • comment avatar faud February 2, 2012

if you want a good right winger you should buy marco reus who plays for gladbach

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 2, 2012

While he looks very promising I haven’t seen him develop enough in my saves due to poor CPU management and without a great future profile I can’t do the report.

  • comment avatar Heresy February 6, 2012

Leandro’s development is an odd one. His technical skills don’t really want to go up but his mental and physical attributes are developping very well. I just hope that he’ll start improving on his dribbling, crossing, etc. when he turns 20. And he’s been a monster for my team as an AML IF. Didn’t seem to have much luck with him on the right wing.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 6, 2012

Well if you get like 5-6 seasons in and he develops well I’d love a new screenshot for future as the one above doesn’t cut it for me personally.

      • comment avatar Heresy February 8, 2012

sure thing :) I cry when I see how R.Madrid wasted this kid’s potential. He’s doing fantastic on my left wing. First season: 36 appearences (26 league), 11 goals (7 league) and 12 assists (6 league). Most of it came in the second part of the season, he was used as a sub till about november when my 50 year old wingers started to lose form. We need to remember he was just 18 then and didn’t have the best strikers to lay balls for. Voted player of the year internally though, that’s got to mean something (Ruiz, my AMR had more assists and goals but wasn’t such a strong influence in the difficult games).

One thing though, he adapts slowly, I used to rush him into the matches and got lousy performances. With this team I was patient and prayed :P And he’s been fantastic (again, considering age and teammates).

And I think I found the key to his training, but need to wait a bit longer to see effects.

      • comment avatar Heresy February 19, 2012

3 seasons have passed with Leandro being my main AML and I have to say, his training has been a pain…. Leandro is incapable of constant improvement. It goes either drastically up or is stagnant. He sometimes even gets worse for no apparent reason (he’s been injured for 2 months and while I understand when he got a bit worse in agility and acceleration, I’ve no idea why his dribbling and first touch have suffered as well).

He’s a frustrating player to train but one thing has to be said, he’s very consistant. He’s a player who performs well even though the team isn’t having a good time. I think that, throughout the last 2 seasons, he’s only just recently gone out of form and only for around a month, maybe two. Intrestingly, that’s when he’s started to improve in training again….

darren,i manage betis.last season we finished sixth in the league.i need a poacher.i already signed fierro.but he will only join me next season.who should i buy? nelson oliveira or leandro, the one from gremio.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 22, 2012

      Nelson Oliveira in my opinion.

      • comment avatar RealBetis February 23, 2012

i already signed leandro.but he’s a bit too raw.he is fast but need to work on his finishing and composure.thanks for your opinion man.

  • comment avatar Paul February 22, 2012

He’s turned out great on my West Ham save! He went to Real Madrid on my game too but signed him for 700k from them when the manager fell out with him in 2016. In his 2nd season here I played him up front and he got 21 goals! 3rd season I played him on the wing and occasionally up front but still got 11 goals despite being injured for 4 months! You can usually get him up to 15 on finishing which coupled with is great pace can be pretty lethal :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 22, 2012

Thanks for the input, I think he just needs some attention and time.

  • comment avatar Chris March 2, 2012

Darren, I brought Leandro to Dortmund in my first season for €10.75 mil. I am currently at the beginning of my 2016-2017 season and Leandro has been a consistant force up front for me since day 1 (in a poacher role). He has scored 20+ goals a season, every season since I bought him. His technical stats (other than his finishing up to 15) have not improved much at 23 with a ton of first team action, but his mental and physical stats have improved. He has been named European Golden Boot Runner Up and Champs League Golden Boot Runner Up, as well as leading the German First Division in goals before I started rotating him with Stevan Jovetic. Quality, Quality player.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 3, 2012

Yeah my only problem with Leandro is I can’t see him been very successful in the EPL, Germany, France and Holland he’d be a beast but I think that England would swallow him up. Though I’m not talking from experience there, just a feeling.

  • comment avatar RedDevil March 10, 2012

In 12.2, his PA has dropped from -9 to -8. Wouldn’t be worth getting him now.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 10, 2012

To be fair I wasn’t his biggest fan even with -9 PA, he was decent but I wouldn’t invest over other players out there.

  • comment avatar Luke Moore April 3, 2012

Signed him in my second season with Swansea (finished quite high in my first season so got some funds) he’s been spectacular up front with Fierro or Erick Torres, as either a poacher or DLF. I offered regular first team football as I was playing with a team of kids.

First season he managed 13 goals 14 assists in 32 league apps, 2nd was 36 apps, 20 goals, 13 assists then in my 3rd season due to Fierro emerging as my poacher he only managed 12 goals and 11 assists not a bad return.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 3, 2012

Very nice record and I can see that front three developing into a lethal trio.

  • comment avatar Marko August 9, 2012

Worst signing I have ever made! 34 apps 5 as a sub 0 goals 3 assists I have him upfront with borini and suarez in a 4-1-2-3 suarez got 53 goals borini 19 but with 14 assists, he doesnt adapt well and for the whole season he couldnt break the language barrier, nothing special.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 9, 2012

I often find that having three upfront leads to one player been bad, could be that also….I hope you don’t expect all your players to settle that quickly though or you’re missing out on some great stars.

  • comment avatar Juliano August 25, 2012

So far in Brasileirao 2012 he scored 4 goals in 5 matches for Gremio very impressive

  • comment avatar somim September 10, 2012
