History 2019

Lacina Traore may not be quite as good as he was in previous FM versions, but the 6ft 8 striker is still one of the best Target Men in the game. A few low stats in Positioning and Teamwork are more than made up for with the player’s excellent Jumping, Finishing, Strength, First Touch and Flair. Not the most proven goalscoring player, but used as a Target Man, he will give your other players plenty of knock-downs to use. So, a technically sound and physically dominant striker like Lacina is well worth a look for some brute force in your front-line. His asking price of £7m is value for money over time that’s for sure….

Best Buy Rating: 8/10

I would suggest Carlos Fierro. Will cost around 1.2m, but really not sure whether he will sign for West Ham/

Darwin Quintero is a great signing, he scores so many goals its ridiculous! Best poacher you could buy..

Try buying Lenny Nangis. He has 3 and a half star potential for my Arsenal team so he’d be a brilliant player for you

Try getting maybe Anichebe, Jose Baxter on loan from Everton. Or look at –
Ioannis Amanatidis, Ahmed Soukouna, Tomasz Radzinski on free transfers.

This guy is a beast at 6ft 8. I can’t believe he hasn’t improved his heading in all those years, wasted talent!

Carlos Fierro Surery Better Than Him

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 27, 2012

Where have we said he isn’t? We rated Fierro 10/10 whereas Traore is 8/10…if you’re referring to the star rating at the top of each profile that is for the reader to vote not ourselves.

I had him loads better on a west brom game! Scored 23 goals in a europa league winning season

I started the game in the Russian Premier League and this guy is a thorn in my side. im into my 3rd season i think ive played Kuban 11 times now and hes scored in every game. theyre my bogie team in that league.. i checked him out as i came off the game and he has Juventus, Inter, Liverpool, Arsenal and Dortmund all interested in him. I didnt think he can turn out that good but seems to be a real goal getter on my save.

How to train lacina traore to have beter atributes..?

  • comment avatar Λασινα Τραορε May 26, 2012

My players in fm usually injured in training why?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 26, 2012

Sorry I’m not sure how to answer that, there are so many reasons. But probably because you are letting their condition get too low maybe.

Been playing Championship/Football manager since 97/98 and I can tell you; Traore is one of the best strikers I have ever purchased. Although I am playing in a second tier league (Turkish Premier) Lacina has been “lighting up the stats”. He has scored 52 goals in 2014/15 season and 61 in 2015/16 season (had 21 assists too! just in the league). And to tell the truth: I don’t know why :) I haven’t done anything special, I saw him in a football TV show (he was playing for Cluj)and ı thought “I have to buy this guy”. So I bought him for 7.5 M USD. And now his value is 58 M!

So buy him; he is the best.

On the other hand I couldn’t buy Fierro for 2 M USD so I decided not to buy him. He still plays for Chivas in my season (2017)
