This FM 2012 player profile of Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik shows everything you need to know. The kid develops into a beast, he has pace, strength, mental toughness and can stick a foot in. I think his athleticism would be key and he’d certainly suit any team playing a high defensive line. In his future profile the African joins Chelsea as a first team starter before becoming very popular in Spain with Real Madrid. All this and he’s available for £3.5 million. The reason for my 7.5 rating is the very poor average ratings he’s achieved at top clubs.

Best buy rating: 7.5/10

    Hi Darren enjoying the website!
But what I wanted to bring to your attention was, that ok yes Kana – Biyik’s statistics are excellent for a centre half, but he’s average rating per game throughout his career is pretty poor. He’s played in the premier league for almost 8 years & its well below 7.00 which I believe is where it should be if your playing at a top club. Moving to Real Madrid he is also still playing under 7.00 so how does it warrant giving him a 8.5 / 10 ??

Hey Joe, I actually agree with you but feel the reasoning for my ratings isn’t understood. I often find that the ‘career stats’ can be misleading. For starters who knows how the CPU is using that particular player and I have found a lot of great players with low ratings that don’t resemble their talent. I have turned a blind eye to his career stats because I think they are very misleading and when you ‘holiday’ through a game it could effect things like that. Having said that I had already written four player profiles before writing this one in the space of an hour and my eyes were hurting….not sure I put enough thought into the rating so will change it to 7.5/10…just so you know the best buy rating is based on a players asking price and age as well. Its basically a combination of everything. Thanks for bringing this to my attention mate.

Was going to go for this guy but decided against it as you rated him a 7.5. You may laugh but James Tomkins is a beast. I started off as West ham, signed Wome, Bressan and a few other usual championship players. I got promoted and expected to just beat relegtion. Im sitting 5th in the table and the combination of Bressan and Tomkins is unreal. Every time a corner of free kick from Bressan comes in, its going straight for Tomkins. In january and hes already bagged 10 goals As a DC!! Thats more than some of my strikers! Aubamayeng is tucking them away too, with jali puling the strings in central midfield!

There are some fantastic lower level EPL player and Championship players that have the potential to play really well high the EPL also, you’ve a got a few there.
