Javi Garcia’s career history until 2016

This FM 2012 player profile of Javi Garcia shows a proper ball winning midfielder. Garcia can tackle and mark as well as any on the game and is also very versatile. As seen above you could adapt him into a central defender or even a dominating force in the middle of midfield. His overwhelming presence and mind for football mean Garcia can play for most clubs. Very consistent but the price may be a little high considering the Spaniards passing ability. Still a good solid buy though.

Best buy rating: 7.5/10

His distribution may be poor but his opponents won’t get past him either. Play him as an anchor with WItsel by his side as a box-to-box and it should be alright.

Yeah he is a solid DMC, a shame about his distribution but that may not need to be vital if you want someone primarily to break up play.

you are almost making a list with all 22 Pedro’s Benfica players, everything he touchs turns into gold.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 13, 2012

Yep and there’s more to come ;)

  • comment avatar Jorge Fernandes February 13, 2012

He might have a lot of patience on training schedules

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 13, 2012

The more patience you have with the entire game the better you’ll do, my number one rule is take your time and don’t keep pressing continue or you’ll never get anyway.

Darren, do you know if Pedro will ever make his benfica game downloadable?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 13, 2012

Pedro is just a reader of this site who kindly posted the link to some images of his players so you’d have to ask him.

      • comment avatar Jack February 13, 2012

I tried to ask him on the Joel Valencia page but no response, thanks anyway!

Hi, I won’t make my save game available for download, because once I do, I can no longer be responsible for it. Ayone could alter it, and blame for it. And at that point, there would be no way possible for me to defende my self. It’s nothing against you Jack, but I’ve seen it happen before, so I’m not going to put it online, sorry.

Ah, and sorry I didn’t answered you before, I didn’t went back to the Valencia post.

Javi, is one of my favourite players in real life, a favorite of most Benfica fans. He’s been tremendous since he came from Real three seasons ago.

And I can’t make anything gold. Some of my players have dissapointed me. I couldn’t get much of Nemanja Matic, Airton, both originally from Benfica, Emre Can also dissapointed me a bit.

I was expecting so much more from him, he turned out good, but no great. Here’s a screen:

He’s good at the physical attributes, but on the rest I was expecting more.

    The same with Fierro:

I was expecting to get him even better than the one in the site, given that I was controlling the game, but no luck. He’s still good though.

      I understand, thanks anyway! :)

And if anyone wonders why my strikers also play offensive midlefielder, is because I was working on a tactic like this:

    http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/4025/benficatcticasvistagera.png

I wanted to use 3 center backs, and also to mimic Barça, when Pep Guardiola changes to three center backs. I thought that using the forwards in those positions was the most accurate way.

It didn’t worked very well, essentially because of the type of forward I had (Rooney I think would be awesome in that central position.)

    So I changed to this:

    http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/4025/benficatcticasvistagera.png

    And this: http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/4025/benficatcticasvistagera.png

Because I haven’t given up on the first one, I still keep them training on the position every chance I get.

Wilshere always turns into a World Class player, just a shame he is unbuyable at the start of the season.

Would really love it if you could give us those formations in English Pedro and the team instructions :)

Very good defensive midfielder and central defender, a strong alternative to Javi Garcia.
