Javi Garcia’s career history until 2016

This FM 2012 player profile of Javi Garcia shows a proper ball winning midfielder. Garcia can tackle and mark as well as any on the game and is also very versatile. As seen above you could adapt him into a central defender or even a dominating force in the middle of midfield. His overwhelming presence and mind for football mean Garcia can play for most clubs. Very consistent but the price may be a little high considering the Spaniards passing ability. Still a good solid buy though.

Best buy rating: 7.5/10

His distribution may be poor but his opponents won’t get past him either. Play him as an anchor with WItsel by his side as a box-to-box and it should be alright.

And if anyone wonders why my strikers also play offensive midlefielder, is because I was working on a tactic like this: I wanted to use 3 center backs, and also to mimic Barça, when Pep Guardiola changes to three center backs. I thought that using the forwards in those positions was the most accurate way. It didn’t worked very well, essentially because of the type of forward I had (Rooney I think would be awesome in that central position.) So I changed to this: And this: Because I haven’t given up on the first one, I still keep them training… Read more »
