This FM 2012 player profile of Jack Wilshere needs no introduction, here you have one of THE best wonderkids in FM12. Wilshere could walk into any starting XI and exels to be the best in his position, the Man Utd scouts even rate him with the potential to exceed Rooney’s ability. If that isn’t enough proof just check out the future screenshots above (provided by Adi,) while Wilshere hasn’t had enough first team football to make a big difference in terms of assists and goals his attributes are insane. Yes £59 million is ridiculous but you can sign him far cheaper later in the game.

Best buy rating: 10/10

such a shame he is injured for the whole first season

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 19, 2012

Yeah it is really, but I guess it stops gamers buying him at a ridiculous price and picking him up cheaper is easier after such a long layoff.

I got him for £8m 3rd season as Arsenal signed Montillo and other centre mids and he never got a game :D scores a lot of ridiculous long range goals, his long shots for me is like 14, but he has the PPMs: curls ball, shoots with power, tries first time shots

He is an excellent player and I just love his mental attributes, he can be extremely reliable.

Hey Darren, what are your opinions on these players:
    Erik Lamela, Bojan, and Pjanic?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 19, 2012

They are all good players, I am not keen on Bojan’s style but you can’t deny his ability, Pjanic is excellent but he lacks the extra inch to be one of the best while Lamela can turn into anything with the wrote development.

      • comment avatar BWR August 19, 2012

Thanks Darren, I use a 4-3-3 at Roma with 3 strikers and 3 central midfielders, so what do you recommend I do with Lamela?

  • comment avatar Alexander Ceol August 19, 2012

Wilshere, my favorite midfielder in FM12 :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 20, 2012

Yeah he’s one of mine also.

What position does Wilshere play as best?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 22, 2012

I haven’t used him so not sure but I’d assume AMC if you optimize that position or AMR if not.

  • comment avatar Svan Relac August 27, 2012

hey darren, i see you prefer putting wilshere on the left wing. i always put him on amc or mc ad. playmaker. do you think he is betteron the wings??

    • comment avatar Svan Relac August 27, 2012

oo sorry, i didnt see the comment above mine, sorry, nevermind then.

      • comment avatar dzunglv August 27, 2012

Of course he plays well on the left. In my Sunderland, he can cut in to score and his crossing is also fairly good every time I play him on the left. However, no doubt he plays best in the attacking center park position (AMC). Sometimes my left player gets injured and Wilshere can be a good option to replace him.

          ok, thanks for the help!

  • comment avatar dzunglv August 27, 2012

I trained him to Pass 19, Creativity 20, the best AMC I’ve ever managed. Finish 13 and he even scores load of goals. Very consistency top performer.

got him for 4.4 mil at the start of the 14/15 for my everton team. Stats differ slightly in 2017, technical stats are one point lower for crossing, log shots and first touch but mental stats higher across the board with the exception of composure which is maxed in both, also slightly better physically. this I would say is down to my coaching staff’s attributes. Still a world class player if you can wait a couple of years and snap him up.I find he works really well with Jack Rodwell playing along side him as a ball winning mid.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 31, 2012

Well he’s a bargain at that price.

  • comment avatar MartinezFCB September 6, 2012

haha I remember back in FM ’11 I got him for free after season 3 to Schalke 04 :) He was and probably still is a beast in the game, haven’t tried him yet in ’12.

hi there! does wilshere really achieve that that level at the age of 24 despite his injury in this whole first season? and how about aaron ramsey? will he be a worthy midfielder just like wilshire in the save above or will he be a flop?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 5, 2012

Yes he does and Ramsey is just as good.

      • comment avatar theguy November 5, 2012
