Granit Xhaka profile aged 28 in 2020

Granit Xhaka career history until 2020

Granit Xhaka is one of my favourite players on FM12. With great passing, creativity and work rate he excels as an advanced playmaker in the middle of the park given a duty of  support. His great strength, dribbling, composure and determination also mean he can drive past players with the ball at his feet, rather like Yaya Toure. He is a team player, unlike many players on FM he wont be demanding a huge wage and he will get his head down and is unlikely to complain about issues. He will never be as good as the likes of Ganso and Hazard but he is surely a better option at the start of your game, costing just £5m (£30m less than Hazard and £65m less than Ganso !) and expecting around 10k wages. He can play at the very best teams, as shown above when joining Real Madrid, and he is one of your best options in, terms of price, at the start of a game.

Best buy rating: 8.5/10

Seriously Ryan, terrible player, his creativity and passing is terrible, wouldn’t give him a 4/10 ;)

All joking aside, he is a great player, brought him for liverpool and replaced Gerrard

        • comment avatar Ryan Daly July 11, 2012

He would be the ideal replacement for Gerrard, I don’t think there is a player more like Gerrard

They’re very similar, would say gerrards better though :D

    • comment avatar Ryan Daly July 11, 2012

      yes Gerrard is better.

Interesting player there Ryan and one I hadn’t noticed before…he does need to develop more technically to be seen as incredible but he’s an ideal buy for most clubs looking too the future.

i totally agree Darren, his finishing is really poor for an attacking player. His tackling needs some work aswell. Not of the highest quality but almost :D

a player I always wanted to sign but never have, I always thought he had the potential but was afraid it could be a waste of money, literally had agreed fees and wages with him and cancelled the transfer at the last momnet a couple of times and gone with different options. But now i see a good future profile I think next time i will definitely give him a try, he does have some strange stats, at first glance looks like a great att mid but then u see his finishing is poor his dribbling good but not top notch and he doesnt quite have explosive pace, then u see he has great workrate stamina and strength ut his tackling isnt good, i think advanced playmaker support would be spot on someone who’d rarely give the ball away and someone who’d make the rest of your players perform better. Good Profile!

Certainly looks a good prospect for the future, could u please post a profile on Ruben Yttergard Jensen really good deep lying playmaker that bosses the midfield.

How would you compare him to tre lirkes og Xavi or iniesta, if gelting tre rights training? And would hé be alle to play as an advanced playmaker ón cm? :) Btw. great job mate.

Considering my former post wasn’t very readable, i’ll try once again. By getting Xhaka the right amount of training could he be considered as one of the best midfielders in the game in the future?

He is not going to reach the heights of Xavi or Iniesta, but not many will. If you check out the scout report you will see that he does play best as an advanced playmaker in CM.
If you do give him the right training and amount of time on the pitch then he will become a world class midfielder.
