This FM 2012 player profile of Felipe Gutierrez shows the kids potential to grow. As you can see from the midfielders profile in 2016 Gutierrez becomes a very technically gifted player. Not only can this guy pass, dribble and control the ball but he has the pace and mental attributes to back that up. Gutierrez would make for a great signing no matter who you’re managing and his asking price of just £1.8 million makes the wonderkid more tempting.

Best buy rating: 9/10

This kid’s absolutely brilliant. His stats are so well rounded he could maybe even cut it as a right back! You could also profile Sebastian Toro who’s Chilean, cheap as chips and plays for Colo Colo. Turns out to be one of the world’s top CB’s in 5 years time. :D

I agree, he’s a real star and while I didn’t see it instantly, my opinion of him grows with every season.

Could be a good choice for a Box-to-box midfielder. Has the qualities…If I succesfully converted Adam Johnson into one in my Chelsea, save…this guy could be a star in that role

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 12, 2011

Yeah I see where you’re coming from there…I’d like to convert him into an inside forward from the wing as that’s one of my most dangerous positions.

      • comment avatar N.Loureiro December 12, 2011

He can do that but maybe you should use him in a support duty, seems better suited for it.

Him not getting a work permit is so frustrating would be perfect for my wolves side.

on the topic of training him, does he need regular first team starts from the word go?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 14, 2011

I would say he does need some first team football yes…not all the time but every cup match maybe.

This guy look class after just 5 seasons in Brazil. I had a bid accepted for £1.5m and he agreed to cheap wages but damn work permit didn’t hold up. When is he available to play in England?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 17, 2012

I couldn’t say when he’ll get a work permit, you’ll just have to keep trying to sign him as every game is different.

Hey, just wondering wich type of training schedule you currently using? Too get these stats?
Thanks for the players also :)

The information you see above is with the CPU managing the player not myself or any other human.

I ve been looking your guide Darren and checking those players and i am so amazed that i had to stop and type a thanks message myself.Excellent work mate keep it up.

Do you thinks he’s immediately ready to pick up the AMC role at FC Twente? I want to make the team able to win the EL. Do you think he’s good enough to fill the AMC role for me?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 3, 2012

I’d say so yes, I personally don’t use the AMC role so can’t give an experienced answer but I’d certainly take the risk.

      • comment avatar Tijmen Stronks April 3, 2012

Thanks, I think I’m going to take the risk.
But what do you think of my midfield:

        Gutiérrez
        Jenssen-Fer

I hope it’s not to offensive, as there’s no DMC so I might get in trouble against offensive playing teams. But I hope Fer and Jenssen will do their defensive jobs.
        Thanks for the help :)

        • comment avatar Darren Smith April 3, 2012

I guess it depends on the rest of the team and general tactic but the players themselves look strong for the league.

  • comment avatar john July 8, 2012

do you think he’s good enough to play as cm?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 8, 2012

Yeah he is but it would depend on his role, your formation and the players around him as to whether he does well…you’d need to trial him in the position for a few games first.

  • comment avatar Clodoaldo July 18, 2012

With the proper training he could be an awesome wing back, like Maggio or Dani Alves. In my new save I play in the serie A and use formations which reflect the Italian style of play, where width is generally provided by wing backs / offensive full-backs rather than wingers. He is still at his original club at the end of the 1st season, I’ll probably try to buy him. Not sure if I should tutor him though, his mental stats are already higher in some aspects than my usual tutor with high professionalism.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 18, 2012

Yeah he could certainly do a job in such a tactic, as for tutoring he may not need it unless you want him to pick up certain moves that another pro does well.

  • comment avatar Darren July 20, 2012

is there a reason i cant find this guy on my saves i use a medium database and have all europes main leagues loaded?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 20, 2012

Probably because you are looking in patch 12.2 where he does not exist anymore, he is only in previous patches.

  • comment avatar Scott Grant July 24, 2012

This guy turns into a fantastic player. I have been playing him as a left winger. For the last 4 seasons he was voted best left winger in the champions league and won player of the tournament in the champions league last season. Dissapointed not to see him in the poll for best young winger!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 24, 2012

He is not in patch 12.2 and that is why he is not apart of the poll, if it were down to quality he’d be in there.
