Christian Eriksen’s career history until 2018

This FM 2012 player profile of Christian Eriksen doesn’t show him at his best due to the CPU’s poor management, but it should offer a good idea of Eriksen’s potential and strengths. This guy is not only an assist machine but he can drive forward and score goals too. Eriksen has everything you need in an advanced playmaker and should be seen as a great buy for any club. £21 million is too expensive and is the why I rated him 8/10 as opposed to 8.5 or 9.

Best buy rating: 8/10

any chance you’ll be doing one on Alaba?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 3, 2012

Yes he will get a profile eventually.

  • comment avatar danac January 3, 2012

Hi can you tell me about Amato Ciciretti from Roma?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 3, 2012

He hasn’t developed on my game at all but then again the CPU is managing him.

  • comment avatar MVB January 3, 2012

Eriksen goes to some strange clubs, on my game he has just left Ajax at the end of 2012-13 season to join WOLVES!? and for only £6m. Was gutted to miss out on him, but as Wolves are struggling I am going to try and sign him to add to my youthful Newcastle side. Think he would do very very well playing just behind Kadlec and Niang!!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 3, 2012

Interesting move, he does look like a worthwhile investment though.

  • comment avatar r.amaral January 3, 2012

can you make the khouma babacar profile?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 3, 2012

No I’m afraid not, because he isn’t worth the cash asked for him this year.

  • comment avatar tom January 3, 2012

    ARGHH…damn computer management…

as long as he is played just behind the strikers he blossoms into an assist machine…a worthy signing if u can supply game time…his acceleration stats mean he just seems to glide past defenders…and being either footed really helps…

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 3, 2012

I agree with that Tom, I also hope he works well from CM as advanced playmaker.

  • comment avatar Martin - F.M.J.S January 3, 2012

He is a great player Darren but at the moment he has signed a new contract with Ajax and is not interested in a move to my club. :(

  • comment avatar bwr January 4, 2012

Will you be doing a profile on Pablo Sarabia? In my 2020 save, he is one of the best players in the world.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 4, 2012

The only way I could do a profile is if you provided the screenshots of his future profile and career stats as Sarabia doesn’t develop in any of my saves.

  • comment avatar boss January 4, 2012

    his physic gone worse why?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 4, 2012

Probably bad management from the CPU or because the CPU focuses his training around technique and mental as opposed to physical.

  • comment avatar Oleat January 4, 2012

You couldn’t make one about Kevin Strootman?
And who is best C.Eriksen ore Lucas Moura?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 4, 2012

I would do Strootman but need a good future profile first. As for who is better between Moura and Eriksen, well they are very different players. I personally could see Eriksen been the better performer but Moura has more potential and the bigger reputation.

  • comment avatar olano January 5, 2012

in my game i bought him using malaga since the beginning. his stats are brilliant i think
acceleration 18 (even touch 19 but dropped again)
    off the ball 19
    creativity 18

i played him as BBM, and in a season he made about 15-17 assist in general. when i’m assign him for corner he made 43 assist in one season

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 5, 2012

He certainly is good and better than the above profile shows.

  • comment avatar Oksen January 6, 2012

i am intrested to know how does this 3 kids go in this fm. because in fm 2010 if not mistaked this three 3 kids where good and they improved very well especialy andrea adamo and guido. if you can take a look on them i really apreciated

    andrea adamo
    guido davi
    giammarco corsino

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 8, 2012

None of them will be a success in FM 2012, I just looked at them and they lack quality.

  • comment avatar pereira January 8, 2012

    ty =)

  • comment avatar steve January 9, 2012

He was my first signing for spurs and about halfway through the season my backroom team started telling me that he was making fantastic progress in training. Then he started telling me he felt he was ready to start more games… so i trusted him.

That trust was not misplaced. He scored a belter in his 2nd or 3rd game and his assists are amazing.

Well worth buying… i had to pay around £10.5m tho :o/

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 9, 2012

Thanks for sharing Steve, he does seem to have something special about him.

  • comment avatar John S. January 13, 2012

I started an Everton game with the intention to build up a team from scratch. So i sold a bunch of the older/less gifted players (including Cahill) and got Eriksen as a first team starter. Tbh i was quite sceptic about my first season because i brought in 14 new players at the start and i wasn’t sure about them settling in right away and all that. At the end of the first season i came in second in the League and won both cups without replaying a single match. This was one of the most fun (if not the most fun) saves i have ever had. The reason i’m posting this here is because the main reason for my Evertons succes was this guy at age 19. I played him as an AMC and he was BRILLIANT. 37 assists in his first season. Moussa Sow just had to stand still and kick the ball in most of the time. He turned into a ‘wonderkid’ after two three months.

    • comment avatar John S. January 13, 2012

On a side note, I am half way through my second season now and i think i’ll keep this game going for a while, if you wish i can send you some screenshots of eriksen once i reach my fourth season or so, i’m pretty sure you’ll rate him higher than 8.5 once you see them. :-)

First post on this site but i come here all the time, great work, keep it up!!

      • comment avatar John S. January 13, 2012

I almost forgot to mention the ‘weaker’ side of Eriksen and i do want to mention this because it could get quite significant if you’re managing a team that has more matches than Everton does in its first season. It’s near to impossible to play him an entire game because he gets tired a lot faster than the rest of my players. This could be because he is my playmaker and runs all over the place but it also has something to do with the fact that his physical attributes aren’t great at the start, but i have seen them improve quite a bit over the first season. Anyway if you plan to play this guy right off the bat be sure to have a decent back-up/rotational/evenyoungerandtalented player.

        • comment avatar Darren Smith January 13, 2012

Thanks for all the information John, sounds like Eriksen will develop very nicely in your save and I’d love to see his profile and career stats after 4 seasons.

  • comment avatar Jakob January 26, 2012

What stats would you improve first to make him shine faster?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 26, 2012

I’d say his physical attributes. Just up the training intensity to high and then train him individually on quickness.

  • comment avatar axim78 February 8, 2012

    i buy 20m n get injured after 1 game for 2month…

  • comment avatar Toby Moore February 15, 2012

I love this guy, he seems to pick all the right passes and he made an off-form Demba Ba look good again. What preferred moves would you say work well with him?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 15, 2012

Sorry Toby, I don’t use the preferred moves, I like to develop the players in individual areas and to do moves too would over work them so I can’t really comment on that one.

@Henry, I don’t use an AMC so what Toby is saying could well be the best place for him but within my tactic I’d use Eriksen as an advanced playmaker with attack duty form CM.

  • comment avatar Henry February 15, 2012

Toby, where exactly do you play him and how do you train him? Do you think he would work as a right winger?
    Cheers

    • comment avatar Toby Moore February 15, 2012

You’d want to ask Darren, but I play him just behind my striker, I play 4-2-3-1 (4-5-1 whatever you want to call it)

      —-GK—-
      FB-CBx2-FB

      —CMx2—
      IF–AM–IF
      —-ST—-

Using that I’ve managed to get Demba Ba and Vaclav Kadlec to bang them in, in the second season Kadlec got 27 goals and Ba got 19 goals. Eriksen got 32 assists… go figure! I downloaded a training schedule called “Dunc’s Training Medium Workload” which does wonders. I also trained him to look for the pass rather than the shot because his finishing is fairly poor.

      Certainly performed well for you.

      • comment avatar Vitor Ferreira February 18, 2012

^^ I just keep pushing the best from the players and i did the same to Elkeson :P

  • comment avatar Dzunglv March 22, 2012

Im using genie scout. 1st season i buy eriksen. He get injuried for 1 month right after joing the club. The shock is that his PA drops from 173 to 155 after the incident. As the PA is unchanged im really frustrated. Any hopd that PA rises in future im confused!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 22, 2012

Sorry I never had and never will use genie scout or any other tool to make the game easier so I couldn’t comment on that as I don’t see any changes in PA with not using Genie.

  • comment avatar Adhy April 10, 2012

Hi Darren, great site! Thanks a lot! By the way, I really need your advice. I just starting my first season with Dortmund, and sold Kagawa for €20M to Chelsea. So I’m looking for Kagawa replacement. Who should I buy? Christian Eriksen or Willian? Who’s better? It’s for AMC position. Thanks :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 10, 2012

I’d suggest Willian over Eriksen, but its personal choice really as they’re different types of players.

  • comment avatar Alec April 12, 2012

I signed him for £6m (old patch) in my first season. I’m on my second season, and he has already got 30 assists in all competitions at the half-way mark! His stats are coming along brilliantly as well! Brilliant player.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 12, 2012

Yeah he is available for that fee on the old patch but has gone up considerably in the new one…probably because SI have realized his true market value. Either way a great player.

  • comment avatar Jayden May 6, 2012

This guy is epic! I bought him for my United save. He won English player of the year award. 28 assists in the Premier league. Far beyond any of the bots…
Best used as an AM or a LAM imo

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 6, 2012

That does seem to be the general consensus from gamers who have him.

  • comment avatar Dunno... May 11, 2012

Darren, what do I do when I have a better screenie of Eriksen?(Age 26). Didn’t manage him btw.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 11, 2012

You can take a screenshot using PicPick then upload it to imageshack and leave us the link here.

  • comment avatar des May 19, 2012

wow, yes you’re right. this profile was very poorly managed. I got him at 19 for about 8 mil1 and at 22 he’s already significantly better than his profile at 26 here. off the top of my head his passing is 18, first touch 15(almost 16), creativity 18, off the ball 18, anticipation 16 and acceleration 18. I’m proud of my youth developmental skills :D

  • comment avatar Dunno.... May 19, 2012

Sorry, but it was actually age 22. Anyway…

  • comment avatar des May 19, 2012

here is his profile at 22

  • comment avatar Ferdie den Boer May 21, 2012

How about the other danes at Ajax? Boilesen and Viktor Fischer, both hailed as future stars in the game

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 21, 2012

They’ve not improved enough in my future saves unfortunately, that’s not to say they can’t but unless I have a good enough future profile I can’t report on them.

      • comment avatar Ferdie den Boer May 22, 2012

Alright, thanks for looking into it :)

  • comment avatar Hughes May 29, 2012

i’d just like to say that im currently playing as reading in 2016 and that my eriksen is actually slightly better than yours even though hes still rated 4 1/2 stars any idea why this is ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 29, 2012

Sorry I don’t understand, when you mention the 4.1/2 stars what is that with reference too? And why should that be important? As for your player been better, he should be as its well known the CPU doesn’t develop players to the same level a human can, the screenshots above are from CPU management so yours should be better.

  • comment avatar yan May 31, 2012

i bought him for my liverpool side for 8.5m become one of my best player only for my board to sell him to barca for 39.5m few seasons later. Now i am sad.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 31, 2012

      Still a good profit.

      • comment avatar yan May 31, 2012

Its a good profit alright. But i just hate the board selling my players away. And i use the transfer fee recieved to pay for gotze for 30m. Awesome much.

  • comment avatar Ard June 7, 2012

Hey Darren, first I want to thank for your site and work, I got a lot of profit from. Second I wanna ask you if Dennis Praet (anderlecht, belgium) wil become a good one at any of your safes. And for third Eriksen has become a good one at my safe with Arsenal, 67 apps 41 goals.and 51 assists.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 7, 2012

Glad the site has helped mate, as for Praet, he isn’t visible in my future save to check unfortunately.

      • comment avatar Ard June 7, 2012

Thanks for looking, hope he will make progress

  • comment avatar Sam June 7, 2012

In the latest update Eriksen eventually signed for my side for a mere 7.9 million after unsettling him and haggling for a few weeks with ajax. In my opinion a bargain at this price and deserves a higher rating.
Also is Illaramendi ( Real Sociedad ) not worth a gander?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 7, 2012

I can only go off the information I have, going from his future screenhsot and the fact I haggled all day long (in the latest patch) and couldn’t get him cheap he deserves no more than a 8. Illaramendi is not visible in my future save to profile I’m afraid.

  • comment avatar Chuck August 5, 2012

In your opinion Darren, who is the best young playmaker in the game ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 5, 2012

I’m not sure, hazard is one oft favourites but kovacic is probably one of the best developers.

  • comment avatar Fabian August 5, 2012

eriksen’s a player with -9 PA, so it varies from game to game- i mean if his PA is set at 180, he’d surely be one of the very best playermakers on the game at his peak.

  • comment avatar James August 6, 2012

Eriksen or Gylfi Sigurddson for Advanced Playmaker role ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 6, 2012

Depends what you want from that position, Sigurdsson will offer lots of goals and assists from set pieces and good performances in general while Eriksen will offer next to nothing from set pieces but some special play away from dead ball situations.

  • comment avatar Imp March 8, 2013

i want to play him as right winger in milan but not sure how much time he need to become acomplished there so its a risk anyone tried that before?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 8, 2013

TBH I reckon that could take a full season, maybe less, maybe more…if you do it you’d have to commit to the development but there’s no guarantees how it will go…unless anyone has actually tried it and can offer some advice.
