This FM 2012 player profile of Carlos Villanueva should hopefully provide a relatively unknown cheap option. I only recently came across this FM12 cheap midfielder when Marko (one of our readers) suggested him. The Chilean plays best in AMC but could easily be adapted to MC and used as an advanced playmaker with attack duty. Due to the fact he’s 25 Villanueva doesn’t have much improving to do but he does show the ability to improve those under par physical attributes to an acceptable level. Brilliant for his technique and set pieces this guy is well worth a buy at just £1.5 million but you may struggle for a work permit if playing in England.

Best buy rating: 7.5/10

How are you, Darren?

So question: How do Alex Serrano, Henryk Mkhitaryan, Ezequiel Cirigliano and Simone Verdi turn out and are they worth a profile?

Also, you said you were gonna make a profile on Ryan Bertrand sometime before the patch came out. You still planning on doing it?

Also, keep up the good work.

Cheers :D

Also, Villanueva would be a good choice for anyone trying Johnny Karp’s Barça Tactic with a mid-high tier team. He could play the Trequartista role that Messi plays, granted that one has to take in the differences in talent, obviously.
