While its tough to tell what he may be capable of the profile of him aged 24 says it all. This kid grows into a deadly striker with pace, finishing ability and incredible mental attributes. Best used as a Trequartista, Fierro can also play the role of poacher and his all round game is superb. Any club in the world would be blessed to have this young talent.

his main attribute is off the ball thats what make a poacher wonderfull that and speed

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 29, 2011

Yeah I agree that attributes does help a lot in the poacher role.

  • comment avatar Mikael Gille December 1, 2011

This guy is a beast, got him for free my second season with tottenham. On third season now and he scored 11 goals in 13 games, usually pair up aguero and rondon on top but against lower teams i pair up fierro with coulibaly, these two youngsters will make a killer duo in a couple of seasons.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 2, 2011

Yeah I agree, he plays incredibly well in Europe for my Malaga side….finished top scorer in Champions League two years running.

  • comment avatar RJ December 12, 2011

Anyone knows how to get Rondon to score? He only scored 2 in 13 appearances for my Malaga save, and that Uruguayan Sebastian Fernandez who I wanted to transfer list is my top scorer… Van nistelrooy got injured for half the season and couldn’t score too…

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 12, 2011

I had similar problems at Malaga. I actually offloaded the entire strikeforce bringing in Fierro, Paloschi and Niang.

  • comment avatar Sam Turner December 17, 2011

Fierro is a GOD!! He just won me the 2016/17 premiership with QPR, scoring 49 goals in 33 league games, 60+ goals in all comps!!! He averaged something like 8.2. This is probably the best season I’ve had from any player after 10+ years of playing fm/cm. I play him as a lone Striker/poacher.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 17, 2011

I couldn’t agree more. Fierro has been immense for me too and using him as lone striker, poacher role does seem to be most effective.

    • comment avatar FW April 18, 2012

Really? Javier Hernández (my striker at Man Utd) scored 45 goals in 35 league games in 2014/2015… In the same season, Aguero scored 56 goals in 35 games for EPL! Man City’s coach were André Villas Boas…

  • comment avatar Matt Skeer December 21, 2011

How can you sign Fierro right from the off because I always have to wait until 2012 :(

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 21, 2011

Because of his age you have to wait a season I’m afraid for his current contract to run out.

  • comment avatar cruz December 27, 2011

    This kid is the bomb!

In my Bayern save, in july 2012 I sold Mario Gomez to Juve for €28mil, and brought Damiao & Fierro for €23mil (21 + 2)

Fierro is grindin despite his young age! I can only recommend to play these two strikers (Targetman & Poacher) together, they fit perfectly!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 27, 2011

I agree Fierro is incredible and has been so for my Malaga side.

  • comment avatar Matt Skeer December 31, 2011

What tactic do you believe to be your best Darren like the Arsenal tactic, Barcelona tactic, Malaga tactic or any other you can recommend me :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 31, 2011

I personally have found my Arsenal tactic to be the most consistent and versatile although the Malaga tactic works well when you have superior players but not in big matches against very attacking talented sides.

  • comment avatar Aden King January 2, 2012

This guy is absolute quality! Bought him for my Liverpool game ages 19 for £13 million! Bagged 41 goals (25 League) in 50 games. Played as an attacking poacher with Suarez/Neymar as trequartista. Top Player!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 3, 2012

Yeah I agree, he’s been amazing in my Malaga save, he scored something crazy like 50 goals in 42 games one season lol :)

  • comment avatar Sixteen January 6, 2012

Hi Darren, can I have Connor Wickham future profile? He seems like a quality signing…

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 6, 2012

Wickham is certainly a talent but I’m holding off as I don’t think I have seen a profile with his full development yet. When I find that I’ll make the report.

  • comment avatar Heresy January 12, 2012

My first season having Fierro. In his 2nd game he scored a goal, in 3rd he scored 1 and added 2 assists. It’s mid season and I’m comfortable resting Pastore in preparation for the big matches and bringing the Mexican in as the 2nd striker to set up goals for Niang and be a threat to the goalkeeper himself.

Coming into the squad in late July, the guy could already speak fluent french. He adapts tremendously. From the early experience, I love him as a trequartista more than a poacher, but we’ll see how he develops.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 12, 2012

He is certainly one of the wonders in FM 2012.

  • comment avatar Tomo January 12, 2012

Would he work as an AF?

    • comment avatar Heresy January 12, 2012

This guy has so much potential that he could probably work as a target man if trained appropriately.

But isn’t it better to concentrate on bringing out his full potential with the two roles he’s already good at?

      • comment avatar Darren Smith January 13, 2012

I wouldn’t recommend using him as target man as he’s best at the two roles mentioned and you may as well play to his strengths.

  • comment avatar Meme January 13, 2012

Hey Darren, really great website! you’ve helped my find many young talents. But in regards to this one, what stops him from being a 10/10?
    thanks

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 13, 2012

He should be but I did this profile when the game first came out and I hadn’t used him…now you’ve pointed it out I have adjusted the rating.

      • comment avatar Meme January 14, 2012

thanks alot for the quick response Darren. Keep up the good work! :)

  • comment avatar Skills January 15, 2012

Hi Darren, some top stuff on here – great work! I have agreed a deal to sign Fierro at the end of first season for Spurs. What do you suggest I do next season? Develop him internally or send him on loan to another english PL/CH side? Thanks!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 15, 2012

Thanks mate, as for Fierro’s development well it depends. If you can offer him 15+ games then develop him internally, if not send him out on loan.

  • comment avatar job-barnet January 16, 2012

he is scoring freely on my team.
scoring 87 goals in 99 matches

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 16, 2012

      Yeah he really can score.

    • comment avatar Dom May 18, 2013

Fierro has been very impressive for me scoring 90 goals in his first season in all comps at Annan Athletic now in the Scottish 1st Div.

      • comment avatar Darren Smith May 18, 2013

Good record, god knows how you got him there.

  • comment avatar Heresy January 20, 2012

I just wish some other players from the u17 WC in Mexico would have been rated as high as Fierro. He may have been the one who scored but there were others, especially the wingers and fullbacks in that team that deserve a better rating from FM. You can’t even see anyone from that team apart from Fierro and Bueno unless you read in Mexico. I clearly remember one winger, he has always come on as a sub and nailed -ever single one- of his crosses. And he did it with such ease that reminded me of Fabregas’ passes.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 20, 2012

I do think the game seems to have wonderkids and then all other youngsters are just good, they need to try and develop something in between in my opinion.

      • comment avatar Heresy January 20, 2012

I just wish that some of those u17 championship kids would be available, not just the strikers. I mean, Coulibaly and Fierro might have had all the spotlight because of the goals, Bueno did alright as well. But the rest has been forgotten. I still feel like Kenneth Zohore should be available in the default database. He played a few minutes here and there in FC Kobenhavn first team even before going to those champs. Only the german and spanish kids playing in u16 and u17 that year were made available. At least the ones that more or less stood out.

And about wonderkids – unless a player of 17-18 years old is a 3,5-4 star potential, none of the clubs want to buy him. Which is silly. A low-end-of-the-league-table team shoudl be hunting for them, raise them as their own and hope for good development. Because otherwise they’re just benchwarmers in the top clubs. And because of this waste there are no good-but-not-great youngsters.

  • comment avatar twelly January 21, 2012

looks like a copy of harnandez to me, and on my man u save in two season hes notched 108 goals so ill be investing

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 21, 2012

I agree, he does seem similar to Hernandez with more to offer, I think Fierro can offer more of AMC’s performance from upfront.

  • comment avatar Tim O January 23, 2012

This guy is amazing! Basically i picked him up for 1,4 million euro, not expacting him to make an immediate impact right away having another great prospect signed (Yaya Sanogo for 3,6 million euro) and – for some reason an incredible – El Hamdaoui (30 matches, 24 goals, 5 assists) for my Ajax side. However, when I did play him he would make very important goals only at the age of 18 when El Hamdaoui was at the Africa Cup or injured! Right now his stats are 14 matches – 17 goals with an average rating of 7,85! Kid has to be the greatest prospect in the game…

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 23, 2012

Certainly one of my favorite strikers, he became a legend at Malaga.

  • comment avatar Aaron January 23, 2012

can you not sign him on ur first season due to work permit? is there anyway you can snap him up until he works towards a work permit

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 24, 2012

When ever I bid for Fierro he gets a contract on the basis of him signing the following season….I have never had any work permit problems and he can’t sign the first season so I don’t know what they issue is.

    • comment avatar Heresy February 5, 2012

I think I have a solution for work permits with him. His WP was always turned down after I’d approached him at the very beginning of the season. Waiting till late july-early august to sign him makes the chance of him securing the permit a lot higher for some reason.

And I’ve tried it several times to see if there’s a pattern. First signing him in the very beginning (always failed the appeal), then signing him in mid july (more or less 50-50 chance) and then late july-early august (seemed to always be able to get him then).

This may be just my game. Several times I’ve been proven it’s very ‘special’. But I’m happy to share my findings anyway :)

  • comment avatar Brian January 24, 2012

Can anybody share what the lowest level club they were able to get Carlos Fierro on? I am wondering about 2nd divisions in England, Spain and Italy.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 24, 2012

I haven’t tried to sign him with anyone below the top divisions but can’t see him moving to anyone below the top flight clubs.

      • comment avatar John Harrer January 24, 2012

I signed him for norwegian club Vålerenga on a free transfer in the spring of 2012. (norwegian clubs are probably worse than nPower Championship, but i’m norwegian so what can you do..) =) speaks norwegian after 6 months, scores a LOT of goals, and after a quick google search, it seems he is one of the best wonderkids in the game! lucky me for scouting mexico.. =D

  • comment avatar vasilis January 26, 2012

hi darren i would like to ask you something.i play with liverpool and i play 4-4-2 and i got fierro and jali in my team.jali plays with average 6.8 can you suggest me something to improve him?and fierro plays around 6.9 .i would appreciate if you answer me

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 26, 2012

There are so many factors I couldn’t possibly advise, but what I will say is you may be expecting too much too soon…remember Fierro is just a kid and needs to develop somewhat before he can make an impact and Jali needs time to settle. Although Jali isn’t the type of player to take a game by storm. He is the sort of midfielder to do the dirty work and you need those players, not everyone can stand out unfortunately.

      • comment avatar vasilis January 26, 2012

thanks darren for your answer.and something else.what places do you advise to put them???i mean what kind of attacker and midfielder in my formation 4-4-2??thanks in advance

        • comment avatar Darren Smith January 26, 2012

I’d say Jali works well as ball winning midfielder or central midfielder support duty. While Fierro is best as poacher attack duty.

  • comment avatar Boixos Nois January 29, 2012

    BEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST

  • comment avatar Martin K February 5, 2012

i really consider to start a new game with Inter again just to sign this kid from first second

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 5, 2012

He’s worth it that’s for sure.

  • comment avatar Stu February 6, 2012

Superb youngster. Third season signing for me, cost just 1.7m, and is improving very well. Although, I would personally re-train to a Poacher, his stats are superb for the role, and plays better as a Poacher too :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 6, 2012

Yeah I agree, he scored something like 55 goals for my Malaga side in 2016 as a poacher. Incredible player and probably the bargain of FM 2012.

  • comment avatar Josh Deegan February 13, 2012

got this kid for QPR in the second season, plays quite often to keep him at the club but he seems to be underachieving, any suggestions on what to do?!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 13, 2012

I’d suggest you may be expecting too much too soon. But I’d play him as poacher in a 4-5-1, that seems to suit him well.

  • comment avatar Thierry February 16, 2012

Dude,I’ll tell you my set formation: 4-5-1

    With 3 MC’s, 2 Wingers and 1 ST

    I can also use 4-4-2.

Do you think I could train Fierro to become a good ST? They accepted my 3 million pound offer.
Also, since I don’t use AMC position, is he worth it, and Erick Torres, would he do good as an ST too?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 16, 2012

In used Fierro as poacher upfront in my Arsenal tactic which is the same shape as yours for many years…one year he scored more than 50 goals so definitely a yes to that question. He is worth quadruple that amount and Torres is well worth buying too, in the same formation with Newcastle he scored more than 20 goals in first season.

      • comment avatar Thierry February 16, 2012

Thanks. And hey, I bought Valencia following your 11/10 rating, lol, and put him in some games for 20-40 mins, didnt make a big impact. Rodriguez (winger) kind of a dissapointment too, is mildly active in game and his FK always hits on the barrier. I got Hamsik and Hazard with many assists and goals in 15 matches, but Hazard’s finishing won’t increase from 10 (he’s already 4 star), and Hamsik doesn’t carry the ball, he just makes short passes as to get rid of it.

        • comment avatar Darren Smith February 16, 2012

Many players may struggle depending on how you play them and your style, its all about getting the right players for you…also note that Valencia will take a long time to get to a decent standard as he has poor CA.

  • comment avatar Vitor Ferreira February 19, 2012

Great Job Darren :) im getting in love with your site xD xD. Fierro is a goal machine!! its hat-trick after hat-trick! totally a must buy.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 19, 2012

Thanks Vitor, glad you’re enjoying the site. Players like Fierro are a must buy for sure, you can’t go wrong at that price tag.

  • comment avatar Doria February 22, 2012

Probably my fav in the game. Allthough his attributes are not that impressive, if you play him right away you can tell he is class. Always finds space in front of goal. In his debut for my Ajax team, he grabbed a hat trick inside 36 mins, and finished the game with 5 goals.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 22, 2012

Yeah I think Fierro is my favorite too.

  • comment avatar Matt Carre February 24, 2012

Without even looking at your scout report I already used Niang as my poacher to fabulous effect and when fierro aged 22 with great stats became available for 9 million I went for it, at first used him as a super sub but then tried him behind Niang as an inside forward, goals against the best teams in the world and highest average rating in the premier league have shown he is hilariously versatile! great buy!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 24, 2012

I agree, his crazy technical and mental attributes mixed with a raw versatility make him incredibly deadly. He certainly has more than one way to beat his man and score goals.

  • comment avatar Ewan Wood February 25, 2012

I’m Sevilla and the Spanish rules say that I can’t have more than 3 non-EU players registered so I can’t register him as I have Leandro Damio, Gaitan, Badelj so I have loaned him out for a season to a liga adelante club. They have good training facilites and he has played every game for them so far this season. Will his development be still fine? Damio only needs until the end of the season to get Spanish citizenship so I can bring him in after that.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 26, 2012

When a player is so young going out on loan can be of more use than staying in the team and playing half as many games so don’t worry about his development, the match experience he’ll have gained will take care of its self. You’ll be fine mate.

    • comment avatar Heresy March 4, 2012

You may need to wait a little longer with the citizenship, as it’s not always given right after the required amount of days at nation are completed. At least in Spain…

As for loaning, good training facilities and first team football are 2/3rds of what you should look at when loaning a player. The league ‘quality’ is also very important. Of course, playing anywhere is better than benchwarming or playing for the reserves. Minutes on the pitch are far (FAR!) more important than training. Yet again, there are levels of quality to it as well.

  • comment avatar Ewan Wood February 28, 2012

    Okay thank you

  • comment avatar Arrin March 4, 2012

fantastic young star just singed him for lazio and shortly leaving my team hearts and hes great doubted him at first but then stick him as poacher and VAHLA!

  • comment avatar Aidan March 7, 2012

Quality but be patient-I signed this guy in 2012 for Sheffield Wednesday in championship and he stuttered at first. In 5th season and he is awesome although difficult to get finishing above 14 he is only 22! He bags goals for fun and his lightning page terrors the defence. I play 3 up top with him as central advanced forward, sonogo as left side poacher and vitinho as right side defensive forward. I play 2 central mids jano and teixeira with crisetig holding the fort behind them. Romario and kvekviskiri as attacking wing backs. Short passing slow tempo and I’m unbeatable with a low wage budget. 4-0 5-1 the run goes on. My two biggest tips having played this game for 10 years? Be patient with your players give them 2 seasons to settle in and tinker your player roles until it clicks.

  • comment avatar Aidan March 7, 2012

On a separate note it really bugs me that fm still Havn’t sorted the ai out. Players never develop on loan at any club and are better off in the reserves and player development is slow with all non human teams. It really gets to me that if you want a player to be world class you have to buy him early

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 8, 2012

I’m sure its something they’ll try and improve with every patch and series that comes out. Hopefully next years will have better non human management.

  • comment avatar Ezio March 8, 2012

I brought Fierro in 2013 to Napoli for 2.2m(euro) and he’s absolutely amazing. i signed him in 2012 so when he came he could speak italian. in first 5 games he scored 8 goals. he forms a lethal striker duo with Cavani.i use him as a DLF and Cavani as a TM

  • comment avatar Arrin March 8, 2012

im looking for a great young goalkeeper any suggestions email me arrinmixon11@hotmail.co.uk

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 9, 2012

Guilherme of Botafogo or Ter Stegen.

  • comment avatar Blororo March 10, 2012

hey, what attribute to train?? he is a great player for sure. i just bought him and confused. thankss :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 10, 2012

It depends on what you feel he needs to improve, you should be changing his individual training on a regular basis anyway, but finishing and composure may be a good place to start.

  • comment avatar darsnider March 29, 2012

words cant describe how much i love him and sanogo these two were the rock of my third season we made it to Italian and champion league final lost their because of injuries and can i say Barcelona is one of the most cheating teams in the game they took out sanogo and fierro in like 5 minutes the even sidelined him for 4 month with a broken foot the jerks lost to them 2-1 cant wait for fourth season but i refuse to pay 200 mill for gotze to make my killer frontline anyone has good ideas for a nice winger for 2 season till vadillo and valencia are 21

    • comment avatar Heresy March 30, 2012

For the right wing? Willian, Hulk, Douglas Costa, Nicolas Gaitan. Not sure what the asking proce for them will be by 4th season through.

  • comment avatar darsnider March 30, 2012

thanx heresy i got 137 mill i got money to blow lol

  • comment avatar gabi March 30, 2012

i just love this player. got him for only 1.5mil euros. i was very afraid for the faith of my psg team when gameiro was struck by a 4month-long injury and I had no other grown-up striker but i was soooo wrong. this little fella scored 28 goals for me in all competitions, is 3 goals away from earning the title of Goalscorer in Ligue 1(i still have 5 more games to play so he’ll probably win it) and is absolutely deadly! 2 goals against AC Milan at home and one on San Siro. personally, i think he’s the best young striker you could bring in your team. and when the price tag is this low, you must be absolutely insane not sign him. :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 30, 2012

I think you have to be forced to play a very young player before realizing his full ability sometimes. Their attributes can be deceiving but I also found Fierro to look deadly even at 18.

  • comment avatar Bernard Abang April 4, 2012

Any pointers on how to get him up and running? I am giving him games and he scores a few but his low stats worry me against heavier opposition.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 4, 2012

If you are still in the first 2 seasons you’re expecting way too much as he’s only 16/17. He needs time to develop.

  • comment avatar Johannessen April 6, 2012

Do you know if Andy Carroll becomes any good at all?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 6, 2012

He could get good but one of those players that requires a very specific type of tactic so if he doesn’t suit you then there’s no point in using him.

  • comment avatar tegar April 13, 2012

This guy is a real MONSTER! He can both scored and assist as well. 21 goals and 33 assists in all competition in 3rd season! By the way, he’s already in 4th season with my club Nantes and I’m going to keep this guy becoming my legend

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 13, 2012

He was also a legend for my Malaga side, one of the few that is certain to succeed with first team football.

      • comment avatar tegar April 14, 2012

The weirdest thing is that if he plays from the start, 90% that he will scored and assist (and most of it got the man of the match) but if he comes from the bench, 90% that he get one or two assist and less goal. Kinda funny, huh?

  • comment avatar Nik April 16, 2012

Just came across him while managing the U23 Canadian side in Olympic qualifiers. After he torched my side for 4 goals I signed him immediately to Standard in Belgium for 12 million. Looking forward to him joining the team in the summer.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 16, 2012

He is certainly an excellent player and you won’t be disappointed.

  • comment avatar Steve Thompson April 17, 2012

Just signed fierro in 2014-2015,I’m playing as Altamira of mexico(as the pentagon challenge)and just got promoted to Mexican top division,he’s still @ his original club and fell out with the manager, signed for 1.7 million and hoping he can fire me to north american champions league glory, great work as always darren

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 17, 2012

He’s the sort of player that coulkd single handedly win the Mexican league IMO.

  • comment avatar Steve Thompson April 18, 2012

Yeah I totally agree Darren although his development seems to have stalled as not much better than the starting profile and now 19 but still plenty of time to put it right :-),I’m hoping the north American champs league aswell as Mexican league,:-)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 18, 2012

There’s always the worry that he can’t improve much due to the low standard of the Mexican league, but I can’t see that happening…he’ll just need another year before results start coming through IMO.

  • comment avatar Junayd Hoque April 26, 2012

WTH! I got a scout report on him and he had potential to be a fairly good player

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 26, 2012

That will depend on who else you have in your team…remember the scout report is just comparing a player to the players you already have. So if you’re Barcelona then Fierro will just be a fairly good player if been compared to Messi…but if you’re Bolton then Fierro will be a definite purchase compared to Klasnic.

  • comment avatar Junayd Hoque May 5, 2012

So would he still be worth buying? I’m Man City on my career and I also need a solid centre back and Right Back…..

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 5, 2012

Of course he would, but only if you will offer him some football to develop.

  • comment avatar Hugo Falcao May 7, 2012

I have him in Benfica and with 20 years he have 18 in finishing and 15 heading..its a beast!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 7, 2012

      He certainly is.

    • comment avatar Aidan May 21, 2012

Bollocks have you got fierro to 18 finishing at 20 years old

  • comment avatar gabi May 8, 2012

hey Darren! came back with some updates on Carlos because I just can’t believe what a star he is! 41 goals in 32 matches this season(and still one month to go). He’s won the UCL golden boot award for the last 4 consecutive years, won a match all by himself in the club world champ (6 goals) and is already a legend at my PSG team. And he’s only 22! gosh, i’m absolutely ecstatic, definitely my favourite player in the whole game! to everyone on this site: you must-must-must buy this player!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 8, 2012

He enjoyed similar success in my Malaga save, just one of those players that never seems to fail.

  • comment avatar Drew May 10, 2012

Trying to sign him in the preseason of my second year with Swansea; they are negotationg him at $29 mil Aus dollard.

    What can I do?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 10, 2012

When a club negotiates that isn’t the least they’ll accept, just keep negotiating increasing your offer in small increments to see what they’ll go down to. If you can’t afford him try Erick Torres or Yaya Sanogo.

      • comment avatar Drew May 18, 2012

OK cheers, I managed to get the club to accept and he accepted a contract but I keep getting “Fierro’s move to Swansea has been cancelled after his application for a work permit was turned down”

I’ve googled it and all that, and it says to send him out on loan to a feeder club untill he can gain a work permit, but how am I supposed to send him on loan to a feeder club if I can’t sign him?

        Cheers

        • comment avatar Darren Smith May 18, 2012

Very few clubs can sign the player and then send him out on loan, you need a certain feeder club such as Antwerp that are part of Man Utd…but without them you don’t have a chance.

  • comment avatar Matt May 13, 2012

In my second year with Benfica he has just joined us and seems to have improved well at Chivas but he just keeps missing chances, in one game he hit the bar 4 times. Should I send him out on loan or wait for him as I do have Nelson Oliveira and some nice regens.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 13, 2012

It depends, if you can afford him the game time in easier matches then keep at it with him…but if you feel he is going to screw up your season then best send him out on loan. He will get there, but he’s only young and needs to adapt.

  • comment avatar Aidan May 21, 2012

Hi posted earlier on when had fierro in 2014 with Sheffield wednesday. I thought he was good then… 2017 season he bagged 51 goals in 41 games and won player of year and golden boot. Worth 31 million pounds. 2018 and 23 games in he’s bagged 30 goals. Words can’t describe how brilliant this guy is. He is the perfect poacher due to his excellent off the ball and pace. You must train him to beat offside, place shots and round keeper. He’s a truly special big game player. Got finishing upto 16 with world class set up and don’t think he’ll develop much more which just goes to show why these monkeys who search for 20 finishing strikers are kidding themselves. It’s a balancing act finding a perfect player and this guy ticks all the boxes for me.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 22, 2012

He certainly does tick all the boxes.

  • comment avatar polor May 22, 2012

Guys what is best for Fierro to be used as Trequartista or poacher???
I previously used him as deep lying forward which he scored for me 41 goals at 41 appearences at the age of 19…..

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 22, 2012

I’d say poacher is best but that’s due to my tactic needing a poacher, so others may disagree.

  • comment avatar Tomo May 25, 2012

Signed Fierro with Blackpool in the Championship, took me to the premiership first season and he keeps getting better and better.

Like this for example against Chelsea, AMAZING.

He is an awesome player and well capable of making any good team great.

  • comment avatar Walker June 4, 2012

Signed Fierro in 1st season for £100k for Middlesbrough in the championship. Played 12 games scored 13 goals at only 17year old, partnered him with Yaya Sanogo who is also a young kid and they have got 22 goals between them !!!!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 4, 2012

They are both great players, profiled them and rated highly.

  • comment avatar Rigano June 4, 2012

Wondering if you could give us a bit of advice Darren.
On my FM 2012 career i simulated 1 year then got the job at Wigan. I then signed Fierro for 1.8 mil. He is 18 now and i stuck him in the reserves. Then a cup game came up and i decided to give him his debut as i wanted to rest my 2 first team strikers. I was against Charlton and they were predicted the win so it’s not like it was an easy win for us. Fierro scored a hat-trick on his debut and we won 6-0. Now i’m stuck on wether to start him for the first team as 1 of my first team strikers isn’t really performing.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 4, 2012

I would just use him as a sub and keep using him in the easy matches, he won’t be ready for the big games yet and that may damage his development…some players have super human performances in the first few games but then slump to what they are actually capable of. Just keep going as you are and if he continues to do well then try implementing him slowly.

      • comment avatar Rigano June 4, 2012

A sub for all games, or just the easy matches?

        • comment avatar Darren Smith June 5, 2012

Just easy matches unless you can afford to use him in others.

          • comment avatar Rigano June 6, 2012

Ok Darren i took your advice and used it but now he is threatening to leave the club if i don’t start him. What should i do? Obvious;y i want to keep him but i don’t want to damage his growth at 18

          • comment avatar Darren Smith June 6, 2012

I’d start playing him more often then, maybe every other match and see how he gets on.

  • comment avatar VH_Kun June 7, 2012

Impressive, he scored for my team 7 goals in one league match (my record)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 7, 2012

Certainly a great player, one of my better signings upfront.

      • comment avatar VH_Kun June 11, 2012

In my last season he won the best player award scoring 51 goals and giving 16 assists in 47 games and he’s only 22, really amazing as a poacher

        • comment avatar Darren Smith June 11, 2012

He certainly is capable of such a season and consistently so too.

          • comment avatar VH_Kun June 14, 2012

Yes, i’ve finished another season and his numbers are even better: 67 goals and 10 assists in 43 games

  • comment avatar Tomo June 9, 2012

I had to use him as my main forward with my Blackpool save, All my forwards retired the year after I started. So now I swap him with Zaha

  • comment avatar aza2294 July 6, 2012

Anyone know why i can’t find Fierro in my game i’ve just started a new season(2011) do i need to scout him?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 6, 2012

I’d suggest you have a small database loaded when at least a medium database is required…you need to restart the game and select a large database to be sure of him appearing.

  • comment avatar Rigano July 7, 2012

I was just wondering what age do players tend to stop growing at? He physical attributes have turned great along with his finishing but he is still lacking a but in some areas of his mental. He is 20 now is there still time to get these stats up?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 7, 2012

It depends on the player, first team football and position. But someone like Fierro should keep growing until he’s 28 or even older…at the age of 20 there is loads of time to get the stats up with the right training and first team football…FM is very logical, most players will make their biggest strides after 20 in real life so FM is similar.

      • comment avatar Rigano July 7, 2012

Yeah he is my first choice striker all ready, and it’s good to know he can continue to grow, he’s all ready deadly so I can’t wait to see what he is like in a few years time

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 15, 2012

You’re expecting too much too soon, he’s only played three games. Some strikers can take a full season to settle.

      • comment avatar CAM3747 July 15, 2012

ok thanks can u see any weak spots?

        • comment avatar Darren Smith July 15, 2012

Just look through the wonderkids list for the five and four and half star players.

  • comment avatar Kivanc July 28, 2012

best player !! 50 matches – 72 goals in 2 seasons on his 22 at Dortmund (2016). play him as a poacher !

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 28, 2012

I agree, he is immense and anyone who says differently isn’t managing him well.

  • comment avatar Tom July 29, 2012

how can i get him up to this level without playing him? does loaning help much because it doesn’t seem to work for other players such as thorgan hazard or kerim frei

    • comment avatar Darren Smith July 29, 2012

Loan may work very early on but in general he must play between 15-20 games a season for your club or he won’t reach this level…then when he’s early 20’s he must play more.

  • comment avatar Stuart August 1, 2012

This guy is quality. Play him upfront with Khouma Babacar or Sturridge with Everton. Playing him as a Trequartisa and has scored 11 goals in 12 games for me this season including a hat-trick against Man United

  • comment avatar James August 2, 2012

Fierro or Erick Torres for a Deep Lying Forward ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 2, 2012

      Neither.

      • comment avatar James August 8, 2012

Ok, who would be a better Trequartista ?

        • comment avatar Darren Smith August 8, 2012

Probably Fierro, but just try yourself as I don’t use that role either.

  • comment avatar Cole August 10, 2012

In my everton save i tried to get him for the 2012-13 season but chivas want 23 million for him! I’m now looking at Mattia Destro instead? what do you think about him?

  • comment avatar Ruzzerz August 21, 2012

i signed fierro on a free with sheffield united when he was 17 when in the championship still got him now 10 years on and think his most is 65 goals in 55 games and like 34 assists in a season. i have won every trophy with the blades and fierro has won em all except league 1

  • Pingback:Pemain Muda,Bagus,Murah | rafliathalajaskandi

  • comment avatar Barney September 22, 2012

Can Fierro become a home grown player in England if you sign him at 16? If he can be home grown, can he be loaned out abroad and still achieve home grown status?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith September 22, 2012

As far as I’m aware the answer is yes, he can become home grown if bought straight away and it shouldn’t stop the process if he is loaned abroad. But the latter I’m not 100% sure on.

  • comment avatar lukk March 19, 2013

I think is not so good….i have him in man utd and in 43 matches in 2 seasons (2016/17 , 2017/18) he scored only 15 goals in premier league. He plays as poacher.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 19, 2013

Not sure what you could be doing wrong unless he hadn’t developed at all before signing for you, but he’s been my best ever signing….the screenshots above say all you need to know. As I always say, its possible to have a bad experience with a great player, but its impossible to have a great experience with a bad player.

  • comment avatar moses May 9, 2013

  • comment avatar moses May 9, 2013

how can i stop damiao from wasting chances he blasts the ball too much and misses too much cos o this i have to use willian as my 9…he is good but i need damiao to score

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 9, 2013

It will be a problem with your tactic, just try changing things up I’d suggest with the roles maybe.

  • comment avatar moses May 9, 2013

how good is sigurdson as a cm

  • comment avatar moses May 9, 2013
