This FM 2012 player profile of Antoine Griezmann demonstrates the midfielders versatility. Looking at the wonderkids attributes without seeing his preferred position you could guess at him playing anywhere whether it be on the wings, in the middle or as a more attacking midfielder. I believe this versatility is Griezmann’s main strength and produces some wonderfully consistent performances. If you are looking for the complete left winger then look no further but he will cost around £21 million.

Best buy rating: 8/10

    Hey Darren,
I didn’t know how to reach you so I did it like this.
I found a great (UNBELIEVABLE!!!) prospect so I was wondering if you needed some inspiration for a new guide.
Derlis Alberto González is his name, he’s from Sol de America.
I can’t post a screen on this site so you need to look at him yourself, he’s amazing!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 29, 2011

Sorry that player isn’t in my game, I can’t find him in any saves.

      • comment avatar Tijmen Stronks November 29, 2011

ow, that’s a shame, but you need to download all the american leagues. He is great! I can’t post a screenshot so I just send you a link:

Derlis is set to sign for Benfica in 2 years time. I am a Benfica supporter so I know this. It was big a deal over the summer here in Portugal. I hope he’s that good, Porto have Iturbe and Kelvin, Sporting is buying them young and srong and we have Rodrigo Moreno and Nelson Oliveira (talented mind you) but no Gomez or Higuain in the making. Though I’d really like to see Poldi in Benfica. He’d be great here, we have a much better team than Koln.

Wonderful talent there the perfect all round winger
i would really recommend Gylfi Sigurdsson 12 league games into the season with malaga 9 goals 4 of which were outstanding free kicks and 12 assists for me all of that for just £9M what a bargain!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 30, 2011

I agree mate, already done one on Sigurdsson too.

      • comment avatar Matt Clark November 30, 2011

sorry didnt notice. so many profiles

my fav wonderkid, but its a different thing if u sign and take care of him,he turns out like messi or cristiano.got him 3 seasons with liverpool(23 y.o) and his stats are 2 times better than that..

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 2, 2011

Yeah I thought that might be the case, comparing him to Messi is a little far as his PA is nowhere near good enough to make that physically possible but he does definitely get better than shown above.

  • comment avatar replayzrx December 5, 2011

Well, Daren, this is the only way i can contact u, so i was wondering about “Henri Saivet”, he was one of the best prospects in 06/07,07/08 and 08/09 manager …soo how is he like now?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 5, 2011

I’m afraid he’s not very good mate, starts with bad attributes and doesn’t develop much either. Reasonable if you want to be fighting relegation or mid-table but certainly not if you want European football.

  • comment avatar Heresy January 15, 2012

I’m thinking about buying this kid. My left winger is 33 now and I’m not sure how much longer he can play on a competitive level. I really feel like training him as an inside forward because my strikers aren’t tall or good in heading. He already has pretty good finishing. Do you think he can adapt to the inside forward job?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 15, 2012

Yeah he certainly could, to be honest the role from the wings comes more down to your tactic and how the role works in your system than the players ability in it. I reckon he’d be better as an advanced playmaker but should work as inside forward too.

      • comment avatar Heresy January 15, 2012

I have a playmaker on AMC possition, alco a CM and AMR with AP attack. My problem is,my team is having difficulties getting at the end of the crosses. They’re agile, but not too strong and heading is really poor so I rarely score from balls from the sides. It’s a pity really because my wingers are amazing dribblers and crossers. Tried drill crossing (seems to work best under the corcumstances), float crosses, crossing early.. and it still irritates me that having lost the majority of defence, I’m not able to finish the move due to poor heading.

        • comment avatar Heresy January 15, 2012

Heh, tried to bid for the best AMLs and i came closest with Moura – 76M Euro. Most aren’t interested cos they either love their club, have had successes in the club or switched clubs in the previous season. It’s down to Griezmann and Rodriguez. Can’t decide cos Griezmann is already a good AML, just not the kind I’m looking for. Rodriguez has the attacking vibe but getting his AML possition to natural (so that he’s most effective) may take a while.

          • comment avatar Darren Smith January 15, 2012

Never base a decision on a player not been natural in your preferred position, some of my best performers have only been accomplished in the position they were used in.

  • comment avatar Major santos January 17, 2012

Thanks for all the profiles and i was wondering if you would suggest griezmann over ljajic

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 17, 2012

No problem, I personally prefer Griezmann.

  • comment avatar Robert February 16, 2012

i can’t find that player Derlis Alberto Gonzalez and i got all southamerican and american teams + large database and the newest patch?

  • comment avatar Robert February 16, 2012

i just started a game with every single country with ever leagues in every country, big database with 150.000 players still can’t find him.. seems wierd.. do i have the right patch? got that 12.1.1 or what its called…

  • comment avatar Robert February 16, 2012

    please help!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 16, 2012

Sorry Robert I don’t know who you’re looking for as that player has not been mentioned here, I have never heard of him and can’t find him either.

  • comment avatar suryo36 April 19, 2012

is he a good backup for steven gerrard?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 19, 2012

Most certainly I’ve never thought of him in that way, but now you mention it he is a little Gerrardesque.

  • comment avatar vp April 21, 2012

Oliver Markout is he a good player ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 21, 2012

Caertainly looks to be but I couldn’t profile him as he has not developed enough in my saves due to bad management. Worth a bid though.

  • comment avatar vp April 21, 2012

I have im in my save and he lacks in the mental attributes.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 21, 2012

Yeah he is very well rounded and I could see his mental stats dropping below par a little but equally with enough game time that shouldn’t really happen, it also depends on the level of opposition as his growth could be stunted.

  • comment avatar chay April 26, 2012

Hi darren, I’m jut trying to sign Griezmann to play for my Napoli team, I was wondering if you believe Evgeny Makeev will become good I have him on loan with option to sign him for 1.4m but not sure whether to as I have Nika Kvekveskiri coming to me at the end of the season.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 26, 2012

Sorry I have no player named Makeev visible in any of my saves meaning he is either only visible with large database or with the country he plays in loaded…or he is a regen. Either way would be good to have a backup for Kvekveskiri as that player can be amazing some games but average in others. Maybe see how he performs on loan.

      • comment avatar chay April 26, 2012

Ok I thought he would be on a normal database seeing he is at a decent team and international, here is a screenshot of him on my game just incase I spelt the name wrong.
        http://tinypic.com/r/121pd1f/6

Thanks for your opinion anyway :)

        • comment avatar Darren Smith April 27, 2012

Looks like you need the Russian league loaded to view him, I’ve checked again and he isn’t anywhere to be seen unfortunately.

          • comment avatar chay April 27, 2012

Ok then I think it is just a large database cos I don’t have the russian league loaded but thanks anyway

  • comment avatar olly May 31, 2012

hi just wanted to tell you that griezmann develops alot better than shown in the future profile he should defo be a 9 out of 10 he is an assist machine.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 31, 2012

Yeah he will develop better as the screenshots above show CPU management not human, but we can only rate profiles on the screenshots we have, if you want to share screenhots of better development then we can rate the player accordingly.

  • comment avatar P. Rubio June 12, 2012

Does anyone know how his teammate inigo martinez develops?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 12, 2012

Good actually, maybe just short of a profile due to asking price over quality but he is well worth a bid if available reasonably priced.

  • comment avatar P. Rubio June 14, 2012

    Ok thanks for the help

  • comment avatar Nick June 16, 2012

Into my 2nd season with Montpellier, picked him up for just 7 mil as Sociedad. He’s brilliant. Have him on the left, Bellhanda in the middle and Boudebouz on the right. Loving it.
