Andrea Bertolacci’s scouting report from Cagigao of Arsenal

Andrea Bertolacci’s profile aged 28 in the year 2019

Andrea Bertolacci’s career history until 2019

Bertolacci is a very versatile midfielder capable of backup football with most top flight clubs. But give it 2-3 seasons and he’ll be demanding a starting XI place, this guy can really play and has outstanding potential. The 20 year old has amazing all round attributes by 2019, but his passing, technique and physical attributes are what makes the Italian so dangerous. You can have Bertolacci for just £2 million, a real bargain when you consider his potential…any team in the world could use this kid when fully developed.

Best buy rating: 8.5/10

Sorry mate I couldn’t find his profile in my future save and without that the profile is half done.

Bertolacci is available for free at the end of the first season, at least he has been for me. And for a free player, this kid is a must-have. I’ve been playing him this season in my PSG team and he’s been decent, but not remarkable. I don’t think he’s a top-team calibre player, certainly not for starting XI but he does the job and has been concistent in his appearences.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 14, 2012

He isn’t first XI in the first few seasons but definitely develops into a player worthy of a first team place in any side, I have seen him move to the biggest clubs and be a huge success in many saves. But he should just be rotated from the start.

      • comment avatar Heresy January 16, 2012

He’s not developping well enough for me. But maybe that’s because I have a weird idea of what an attacking midfielder should do.

I want him to stay outside of the penalty area, gathering the loose balls and shooting from the distance or passing them on. He should also have decent tackling to win some balls

While everythins else seems to slowly rise, his long shots stay at 13 no matter what I do to him. It may be just this save, but he doesn’t seem to be able to get the attribute up. And I feel that, because of this, he’s not the best midfielder.

Thinking of seeling him within 1-2 seasons, perhaps I’ll get Badelj instead.

by attackigng midfielder i mean midfielder with attack duty.

I capture him by free transfer at the and of the first season. He plays his 4. years in Fenerbahçe. I consider him as a future legend for Fenerbahçe.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 21, 2012

I must admit I am also a fan of him and even at the start of the game he’s very cheap.

darren i think you can get this player for free in the winter transfer window in the first season.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 11, 2012

You can agree a contract in the Winter and the player joins in Summer, certainly makes him worth a bid…that is as long as Roma don’t offer him a new deal.

what role should i play this guy, he’s developing realy well, but not playing really well

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 30, 2012

You should use him in some sort of supporting role like deep lying playmaker or central midfielder…but don’t expect amazing performances if he isn’t your main CM…ie if you have someone who gets forward more as you can only really have one that ‘seems’ to perform well as not all of them can get the goals and assists but that doesn’t mean he isn’t playing well. What I am saying is the ratings can be misleading.

      • comment avatar Adam May 1, 2012

ok will give it a try, when i said he wasnt playing well i meant he was getting below a 6.9 which i see as the benchmark for a decent game anything below is just meh, also he didnt really do much at all, but hopefully that will change :)

        • comment avatar Darren Smith May 1, 2012

He also needs time to develop though, the only other explanation is that he doesn’t suit your tactic and the way you want him to play maybe.

          • comment avatar Adam May 2, 2012

that might be it, but i want support from my CM i have yttergard jensen in the same sort of role, he gets so many assists

  • comment avatar Jack August 2, 2012

Got this guy on my city save on a free ironically in the 1st season. In only his 2nd season at the club he got into the champions league XI scoring 11 goals despite playing as an understudy to toure in Darren’s Scarborough tactic, beast!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 2, 2012

Yeah I like him a lot, Andrea is a true all rounder and one of very few that fall into any CM category and become world class.

  • comment avatar Gordon August 14, 2012

Darren, what is difference between Poli and Bertolacci?

Who can play DM better or are they both suited to CM? and role wise, where do they belong?

    Thanks.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith August 14, 2012

Bertolacci is a much more rounded midfielder whereas Poli is a passing maestro. I don’t see either as DMC, Bertolacci could be best as Box to box or CM support, whereas Poli should be deep lying playmaker.

      • comment avatar Gordon August 14, 2012

        Thank you for that!

Hmm, I’m playing with Chelsea but looking for a young cheap wonderkid DMC. Was considering Lorenzo Crisetig but I have a feeling you will say that you see him as a DLP like Poli in CM too haha.. I currently have Mikel and Romeu as candidates (Essien is on long-term injury) but pursuing someone to replace mikel/essien for the long-run. Was thinking of saving up to buy Yann M’Villa. Alternatively, I’ve heard a lot/read a lot about Marco Verratti… who would u suggest from these or otherwise?

  • comment avatar alberto October 20, 2012

i have bertolacci and crisetig in my team,i think i will put crisetig for anchorman and bertolacci as a deep lying playmaker, what do u think?any suggestion?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 20, 2012

I reckon that is the most logical thing to do yes, just track how well the team keeps the ball in midfield and that should show how well the system works.

      • comment avatar alberto October 21, 2012

thanks, bertolacci looks good for advanced playmaker too,i put him in there for 3 matches and he played well.but crisetig need time i think for playing as a anchorman
