This FM 2012 player profile of Anderson Martins shows a player at pure bargain value. Martins may not be the best CB available but he can walk into most mid-table sides and develop into a solid centre back, at just £1.9 million this 23 year old is perfect for those on a tight budget. He knows the game well, enjoys good physical attributes and bar his heading has everything in the locker to be a good centre back in years to come. As for the heading issue maybe try him on individual training in that area.

Best buy rating: 7.5/10

This is a good report on him. He has been so solid in my game and help me win the French League. :)

He is a great bargain for sure, the price seems worth paying.

If you’re managing in England I could see that been the case.

I got a WP for him with Newcastle. he is a top player, progresses well, and is a bargain at £450k. Got a few Brazil caps too.

Your Newcastle story confirmed the profile for me Stu…seeing how well he did for you put him in the yes pile as opposed to maybe pile which is where he was.

Yes, definitely worth a buy, even as a backup player. I did intend to use in the Coloccini role when he wasn’t fit, but he pushed his way in, and played so well I cannot drop him. I will post up another screenshot of him at some point in my story, including history and the like, which I am sure will convince many to buy him.

Well if he gets better than the screenshot you see above, and I’m sure he will I’d love to use the profile and career history here.

What makes him such a good player is the fact he is the rare all-round defender. Fairly good in the air(although you would play a more physical DC alongside him), has Pace, good Strength, and not a Mental stat out of place.

I have yet to get anywhere near 2016 on FM12 yet, most saves have lost their interest, although my current Newcastle one is my best yet, so hopefully I can make it this time…

He seems to have pretty good stats in me game. When did u sign im for newcastle? I’m playin newcastle too, couldn’t get WP on jan trnsfr 2012. Nid him so badly, only got s.taylor n colocini as DC, either one out and i’m crippled.

When he settles, he can become a fantastic bacup for almost any top side. He’s also fairly good in picking opportunities to come forward. Even scored a few goals for me from the 16 yard area back in my PSG game :)
