This FM 2012 Championship Player Profile of Sol Campbell shows a good lower league defender that could make an impact in the Championship. His physical attributes are pretty bad, but all that experience and defensive skill won’t go to waste for most second tier teams. If you need a leader at the back, Sol is certainly worth a thought.

Best buy rating: 7/10

Check out Ivan Bandalovski. He can be signed for like 300k and takes cheap wages, only problem may be work permit.

I checked him but most Championship clubs won’t stand a chance, I couldn’t even offer him a contract with Leeds and Southampton which would suggest only the likes of West Ham could sign him. Great recommendation but not possible to sign unfortunately.

Try Rolando Schiavi. His attributes look amazing. I was wondering whether I could recommend him, as he’s 38, but his attributes are way better than Materazzi. Sadly, not a free agent, he’s at Boca. Haven’t tried to sign him but it can’t be too hard if he’s 38….

Oh yeah, wondering whether Leandro Gioda is on the site. Good, solid player that can be gotten on the cheap.

Schiavi isn’t available for less than a million so not value for money with his age and he isn’t interested in the Championship either.

As for Gioda, I just don’t rate him.
