Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s career history until 2012

This FM 2012 Championship Player Profile of Johann Berg Gudmundsson shows a top lower league winger. Johann has good attributes in all the right places and bags of potential to boot. Sign him and you’ll acquire a quick winger with good technique and flair but also one that can dribble and cross just as well. I have been recommended this guy by numerous readers, unfortunately none could provide the future screenshot to backup their claims hence my 7.5 rating, but I must admit Gudmundsson does look the real deal despite a harsh scout report. Its just a shame you have to gamble almost £1 million away to find out if he’ll be good enough. Having said that, if you have the cash and need a quality winger, I’d recommend taking the risk.

Best buy rating: 7.5/10

He looked at lot happier aged 20 than 21. He also looks a bit like an Icelandic James McClean. Sorry that this is not terribly relevant. :)

That’s OK, always good to have banter.

Hey I reccommended this player but was unable to provide a screen shot. However, I bought him with Real Sociedad and Loaned him out to Leeds. So can provide a screen shot if you tell me how I can send it to you.
He made 24 appearances for Leeds, but only got 3 assists and 1 MoM. Average rating 6.67 I think. So not really worthy of 7.5 IMO.

To be honest if he performed so bad at Leeds then nothing will be gained form those screenshots anyway so its OK. As he was playing for a poor side (ie less chance of strikers converting his assists so therefore lower ratings) and the CPU was manager I don’t think you can take much from his ratings at Leeds…a human manager would get more. I thought you said he performed incredibly well for your Pompey? So why would you rate him so badly based on a CPU management alone? Or am I getting you confused with someone else?

Was in need of a winger for my Southampton game, got him for 2 million, but got him on deadline day and couldn’t register him will have to wait until the next register window to see how he is

That is frustrating but he should be worth the wait.

Finally I played him and he scored 4 goals in 10 and has 6 assists already brilliant player
