Shaqiri at the start in 2010

To me he looks like a good player with bags of potential, with the right guidance he can become a world class winger. His value is quite high for an 18 year old, illustrating his quality and the potential he has.

Already 2 stars, he can be decent backup for a Premier League side, which is a good idea so he can get a few games early on and experience top-level football at this stage in his career. 3.5* is a good rating for potential, Nasri is a great player so if he has potential to be better than him he must be able to become a really good player.

Shaqiri in 2019, aged 27

He has definitely improved, but he isn’t as great as you might have expected when seeing him at the start. He is playing for a big club though, bought for just under £9m and previously played for Man Utd and Ajax.

My best buy rating: 7/10

Although he has great potential according to the amazing Cagigao, he doesn’t become amazing most of the time but he does have a bright future, as his move to Inter would indicate and his earlier spell of Man Utd.
