Sergio Canales starting attributes

Already a great player, this kid has incredible potential. Signed by Real Madrid for £4 million at the start of the 2010/11 season, he has the potential to be one of the world’s best players (although you’ll have to pay a ridiculous fee to get him if you want him for a club other then Real Madrid). He look like the long term replacement to Xavi in the Spain national team and he looks as though you could easily train and play him as a second striker or a regular central midfielder. If you have him at your club, put him on a strength progamne as at the moment he’s quite fragile. It’s sheer attacking creativity and flair where Canales shines the most though, with his stats already set very high. There is still a lot of room for improvement and if you put him on a good traning programne and play him often, he can become sensational!

Arsenal scout report

Steve Rowley provides a fair and accurate asessment of Canales’ ability here, emphasizing his skill but also his weak aerial ability, something that definitely needs to be improved. There is no doubt here that Canales can put in an accomplished performance for any team in the world but due to his low strength and speed, his two weak points, I would reccomend steering him away from the Premier League, at least for a couple of seasons. However, at least at the start of the game, it would be very difficult to sign Canales at all, as Real Madrid clearly see him as their future leader and are desperate to hold onto him.

Canales in 2015

Despite  having not improved his aerial ability. Canales is now clearly an amazig CM who can walk into any side in the world. He is a regular starter for Real Madrid and has recently broken into the Spain first team after spending long periods on the subs bench for them. He’s still also only 23, meaning there is still a huge amount of room for improvement as well!

Canales in real life

Canales, a product of the Racing Santander youth academy, made 39 appearences for them over 2 sesons, becoming a key figure in the Liga BBVA side for the 2009/10 season. At the start of the 2010/11 season, he was sold to Real Madrid for £4 million where this season, he has made 15 appearences, although most of those were from coming of the subs bench. He has made appearences for Spain at under 21 level but has yet to be capped for the senior side.

Overall Best Buy Rating: In terms of the player’s ability, I would give it 9.5. However, due to the excessive price demanded by Real Madrid, I’d downgrade it to a 7.5/10 as the player is still brilliant, even for the price!

Managed to get him for 3.4 mil in the second season. They weren’t playing him enough and he wanted to leave. Got very lucky :D. His potential is insane and he’s been performing admirably for me.

He is a great player if available at the right price, I got him cheap with Malaga and he was worth it.
