Salvatore Sirigu’s profile in 2010 after starting new game

Although 23, Salvatore still has a massive amount of potential to live up to and is one of the best young keepers on the game at the moment. He is a little pricey for what your getting, which may put some off, but he is a sound investment for any large club that want a solid keeper that can only get better. The scouts report below is from Arsenal’s Cagigao and shows what Sirigu could become.

Here, Cagigao compares him to Arsenal goalkeeper Almunia (arguably the weekest part of the Arsenal team). Current ability, he is much the same as the Spaniard although looking and comparing stats visually, you can see that Sirigu edges him out even at the tender age of 23. Potentially, he will become one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and far exceed Almunia’s ability without a question.

Salvatore Sirigu’s profile in 2016 aged 29

I would have liked the AI to work on his speed but overall if you compare the stats, he has become a better all-round keeper. It looks like he is playing close to his full potential too! Overall, he is a very solid keeper and one that you should invest in both for his current and potential abilities. By no means is going to be an Kahn or a Buffon, but the 23 year old has talent that will assure you of safety between the sticks whether your Barcelona or Blackpool.

My Best Buy Rating: 7.5/10

He’s pretty good in my game, in fact i think he’s the current Italian number one after Buffon deteriorated too much
