You all know him, he’s the best football player in the world at the moment. Although he has a huge minimum fee release clause, no less than 217 million pounds, Barcelona are willing to let him go for 90 million. The problem is that he doesn’t want to leave his beloved club so I guess signing him might prove impossible. However, I did enjoy a test save with Barcelona in Football Manager 2011 for a while and I have to say that Lionel Messi is an amazing player, he makes a real difference on the pitch and I’d be willing to pay even more than 90 million to have such a player. I guess he doesn’t really qualify as a “best buy”, but he’s the best…

He is the best player of the world when he play in Barcelona!:)

He haven´t scored one goal in official games for Argentina since 2009, I though it was Maradona´s virtue, but for what he did in the South American Cup it seems it is not. I really can´t believe people can compare him with Maradona……..

Johnny I started playing a European challenge like Darren´s but instead of starting unemployed I decided to begin managing Barcelona as I wanted to manage Messi!.

We won every trophy during the first season, I was only playing him the first half because I wanted to avoid injuries with a 4-5-1 tactic playing him as a poacher, in 43 games(most playing only 45 minutes) he scored 52 goals-18 assists-15 MOM and 8.10 average rating!

He doesn’t have Xavi and Iniesta in the national team, that’s the big difference in my view. Maradona was huge, Messi is not up to that standard yet but he might be in a few years.

Incredible player, if he keeps up his sucsess with Barcelona for 6 or 7 years, he will probably be one of the best players ever :-).
