Khouma Babacar’s attributes in 2010:
Wow! Right? I mean… This kid is only 17, yet he has the attributes to rip any Championship’s defense to shreds. I think he can be played in many different striker roles, although I believe he would excel in an ‘advanced forward’ role. You could also attempt to play him as a ‘target man’, ‘complete forward’ or even a ‘poacher’ (if he improves his pace and acceleration). Babacar has often drawn comparison with Ivory Coast and Chelsea striker Didier Drogba. The young striker is known for his good ball control and strong shot power and he also has a sudden burst of speed which leaves defenders trailing behind.
Here’s how Arsenal’s Francis Cagigao’s rates Babacar:
I disagree with Cagigao’s report. I think Babacar warrants at least 4 stars potential, he improves his attributes loads and really does develop into one of the best strikers on FM11. Here’s a screenshot of him in 2019, taken in Darren’s Newcastle save.
Babacar in 2019:
Babacar certainly does develop into a phenomenal striker. He’s incredibly strong, really quick and he’s a clinical finisher. You could easily just hoof the ball up to him in the air, or you could play the ball behind the oppositions back four. Either way, Babacar will always terrorize defenders. His goal ratio for Senegal is extraordinary as well, 88 goals in just 73 caps! If you have enough cash at the beginning of the game, I highly recommend you sign this individual. He’s just brilliant.
Khouma Babacar in real life (taken from Wikipedia)
Babacar began his career in the academy of US Rail in his hometown Thies and moved to Italy in summer 2007 signing with Pescara after a successful trial. After only a year with Pescara, on July 2008 he signed with Fiorentina, after also being highly tracked by another Seria A side, Genoa. In the 2009-10 season he joined up with the first team coached by Cesare Prandelli. On January 14, 2010, at the tender age of 16 he made his debut in the starting line-up against Chievo, in the round of 16 clash from the Coppa Itialia. His debut was marked by a goal, scoring the temporary equalizer in the 75th minute, with the match ending 3–2 for the Viola. On March 20, 2010, he scored his first league goal, snatching the third goal of the 3–0 home win over Genoa.
