Ilicic scouting report (Rowley)

I think this is pretty accurate, Ilicic is definitely the best talent to come out of Slovenia, but I don’t think he is going to be up to scratch at any of Europe’s top clubs, in fact, a club like Palermo is well suited to him as it is a strong mid-table club, with good facilities. The key will be to give him plenty of football as he is in the last couple of years when he will develop quickly. In my game he has not developed well as he has hardly played, before a loan spell at Zenit, which, despite good facilities, still saw him frozen out of the team and when he did play it wasn’t against any of the tough teams, teaching him practically nothing.

For Slovenia, Ilicic is key. I don’t know that much about the Slovenian national team, but looking at the quality in the squad, Ilicic is arguably one of the best players from the start and anyone who chooses to manage the national team would be wise to build the squad around him when he can play.

Ilicic in 2013, age: 25

My best buy rating: 7.5/10

A decent price and a good backup player for the top teams, but Ilicic would ideally thrive in a squad just outside the title contenders in any of Europe’s top leagues or a top team in a “smaller” league like the Netherlands or Greece. I think we could see a big stats boost in FM12, as Ilicic will have to fill in the boots of Pastore in real-life.

Nice profile mate and I reckon Ilicic would improve with more first team football.
