Javier Pastore

Age: 21

Position: Central Midfielder/Attacking Midfielder

Club: Palmero

Nationality: Argentina

Value: 8,250,000

Price tag:  31,000,000

Starting attributes:

Pastore is already an incredible midfielder here, one of the best midfielders in FM already and in my opinion, the best one under 22. He can play in central midfeld or as an attacking midfielder and is ideal fr the deep-lying playmaker role. He genuinely doesn’t seem to have any weaknesses and the scary thig is, he’s only 21! He can be brought but he does cost a lot. However, if you have the money, buy him, as he becomes one of the best players on the game. He would be extremely interested in moving to a club (with all due respect to Palmero fans) bigger then Palmero. He has poor defensive stats but for his role/position, he doesn’t particularily need them. His aerial ability can also be improved on slightly, but other then that, he doesn’t seem to have any weak points. He will become a gem of a player and will only become more expensive, so try and buy him at the start of the game. If you do then congratulations, you’ve got the future best midfielder of the game on your team!

Arsenal scout report:

I personally disagree with Rowley’s star rating of Pastore. I think he is at least 3 and a half* current ability, as he would already walk into the Arsenal first team. He emphasizes that Pastore is a very detrermined individual and a consistent performerw hich is always a good sign.

Pastore in 2015:

Pastore has improved a lot, although not as much as I had hoped. However, he’s now pretty much the best ACM on the game and is a regular starter for Argentina. In club life, he’s still at Palmero, where he gives them constanly good performances of at least 7. Put simply, if you have some money at the start of the game, try and sign Pastore, as he turns into this, one of the best midfielders on the game.

Pastore in real life:

Pastore has been a regular starter at Palmero for the past two seasons, after being signed in 2009 from Huracan for around £4 million. He has recently broken into the Argentina first team and has made 9 appearences. Pastore has for a while been linked with bigger clubs but for the moment, he stays at Palmero and continues to enjoy regular Serie A football

Overall best buy rating: 9/10 (diluted from 9.5 because of the large price)

after 1 season i got pastore for £15m because palermo had signed another cm and considered pastore a back up for some reason their loss. i play him as a cm attack with run with ball and run from deep often and he constantly gets an average of 8+ in all comps
