Axel Witsel’s profile in 2010 after starting a new game

Not many people have heard of Axel before, but he is one youngster that most managers should be looking for. Playing either in the centre of midfield or out wide on the flank, he has exceptional attributes for both roles. He is also very versatile anyway, and the only roles that he is not comfortable in at the start of the game are as a full back and goalkeeper making him a brilliant utility player at the age of 21! The scouts report below is from Arsenal’s Cagigao and shows what Witsel could become:

Here, Cagigao compares him to world class Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Now for a £1.5M investment in this lad, you can have a player that has the potential to play at a similar level? If I was a manager, I would snap your hand off! I think the best point made there is that he has no real weaknesses. As I said, a brilliant utility player for any top club.

Axel Witsel’s profile in 2018 aged 29

Playing out of his skin for Inter Milan at the moment, Axel’s potential has lead him to be on of the best all rounded players in the game. Consistently getting around a 7.5 average, he has also played numerous games for Belgium gaining 71 caps and 15 goals a long the way! If you need an all rounded utility player, and your a little short on cash you will be bonkers to overlook this kid.

My Best Buy Rating: 8/10
