Become an FMS Scout

What are we about?

Football Manager Story is a growing FM community and we’ve added another feature… the ‘FMS Scouting Network’. Here you can find tonnes of player profiles and answers to help find the best player for your team. We have various different lists featuring extensive Football Manager profiles. Have you just signed an incredible bargain? If so apply to be an official FMS scout via email, we want this site to become one big, collective effort to offer each other player tips.

What is an FMS Scout?

The FMS official scouts are promoted to writing actual player profiles and these can be as simple or as complicated as you like.  You can make the grade and be promoted to official scouting status on request or by invitation, but there are some guidelines to be followed.

How to become an official FMS Scout

As previously mentioned you can turn official and write player profiles by simply emailing us at darrensmith360[at]googlemail[dot]com. Below are the guidelines we look for in our official scouts.

  • Scouts should write in good English, with correct grammar if doing detailed posts. When writers are just using our draft player profile form your writing ability isn’t as important.
  • Scouts will only be considered if you have a site or writing sample to prove your ability. Alternatively we do take on scouts who have written in the FMS forum or commented on our posts for some time.
  • You should follow the writing guidelines sent upon acceptance into the official scouting network.
  • Scouts need a good understanding of Football Manager and great scouting skills are a given.
  • You can post as much or as little as you’d like, but once a week is the minimum.
  • Not really a guideline, but please note we will tutor you in posting and provide all the tools needed, its very simple. We have even created a sample profile, so all you have to do is fill in the blanks relevant to your player.

So, if you want to help your fellow gamer and be seen as an official FMS Scout, please email us at darrensmith360[at]googlemail[dot]com.

Below is an example of the draft player profile sheet, hopefully this will show some of you how easy it is to post a player profile. Remember to do these you must become an FMS official scout and can add as much detail as you like. These profiles only take around 15-20 minutes, so ask to become an official scout and add to our growing database.
