Luke Shaw career history until 2019
This FM 2013 player profile of Luke Shaw shows one of the most exciting English prospects, a youngster that can develop into one hell of a left back. He’s not really ready for Premier League football at the age of 17 but you can either send him out on loan or use him as a backup, but make sure he gets enough first team football because he can develop into a solid player in a relatively short period of time.
The future screen shots were kindly provided by Alex, one of our readers who is managing Southampton in FM 2013. As you can see Alex gave Shaw plenty of first team football and the young left back didn’t disappoint. Luke Shaw turned into a superb player at the age of 22, excellent speed, mental attributes plus tackling, marking and crossing, exactly what a good fullback needs. His value went up to 11 million and he also bagged quite a few England caps. You can get this youngster for 13 million at the start of the game so, judging by what Alex has managed to do with him, I think he’s an excellent buy.
Best buy rating: 10/10

21 caps for England and only 22. “Incredible”
The natural replacement for Ashley Cole on FM I reckon. Brilliant player although under CPU management he doesn’t seem to develop at all really.
I have him in my Barcelona save and he does develop if given enough game time, surely has the potential.
probably the best or one of the best dl in this game is amazing how is mental attributes developed and the most beautiful part is that he can develope heven more . this kid is a true beast . I jsut wonder if he had some kind of player tutoring him to reach that kind of mental attributes or if its just play time.
I guess Alex will drop by to answer at some point about tutoring.
Hi pedro, I don’t think I had anyone tutoring him (although I can’t actually remember), I just gave him lots of game time (as you can see he was my first choice left back by about the 2nd season) and gave him individual training on whatever I felt was weakest (started with positioning I think, did a bit on speed as well). The key thing is just to play him a lot and he develops really quickly.
ty alex i will try to sign but now Southampton asks 15 million for him i will negociate with them and try to develoepd him like yours
hey i have him in my man utd save currently tutoring him by Evra but just wondering can i somehow increase his bravery.
Wow, he looks like he can turn into a great left back, and could be even better with human management, I think I might get him for Man United in the second season.
wow, cant say more. 22 that stats! I thought only Corchia could develop that good (sorry i am not a native Enlish speaker )
I brought him for arsenal but he never live up to expectation. I always receive training feedback that his training attitude is very casual. Loan him out but his attitude remains the same. In the end, i let him go on a free transfer. =(
He never gets this good for me,had him in about 3 different teams
I bought him at the start of a game for Spurs, at age 19 was 3,5 star and made world team of the year, He needs game time to develop but is worth it in the long run, develops astonishly fast if you play him every week
Great, thanks for sharing this.
i just signed him on my chelsea save for £12 million
