Not only can you order the table by any category (eg asking price or position) but you can also search using key words to narrow your options. Type what you’re after in the empty box next to ‘search’ but remember it will only search under words and numbers within the table. You could for instance type in 18 to see all the players that are 18 years old. Alternatively type in a position or players name to see what we’ve got.
If that’s not enough, click on the players name to see their massive FM 2013 player profile and find all you need to know along with our best buy rating and a future profile from at least 2015. This Football Manager 2013 ultimate best player list will grow continuously, the first few weeks following the games release will see this list added too around 2-5 times a day.
Please remember that all asking prices and details are subject to who you make a bid with. We make all our bids during the first week of a newly loaded save, with the large database loaded, including England, Italy, Spain, Argentina and Brazil loaded as playable. If you don’t do the same, then chances are the asking price will vary.

Does anyone know if James Ward-Prowse from Southampton turns out any good because my scouts seem to rate him highly?
He hasn’t developed great in my game, but I think with the right guidance he can, problem with English players is they tend to develop very slowly on FM and need first team football which is tough to come across in such a competitive league.
That makes sense, thank you for the response. I also wanted to know your opinion on a player named Gianluca Caprari who is co-owned by Roma and Pescara?
He is an excellent player, I’ll certainly profile him as soon as I find a future save that does him justice. He’s developed fairly well in my save but not to his potential so I’ll wait to find a better future profile.
Okay thanks again for the response, I just have one more quick question that I hope you can answer. I sent one of my youth players who had 4 stars on loan. Right after he signed with the team he is at loan at I checked his player report and it said he was only 2 stars now. Did I make a mistake in loaning him out?
Chances are the scouts report wasn’t accurate first time around. They always reflect on the ability of the player compared to your current squad so maybe you signed someone much better for a similar position also. It wouldn’t be a problem sending him out on loan as it would take longer than a season for his rating to drop that much.
I didn’t sign anyone new so do you think that it could be the club that I loaned him to affecting his rating?
I don’t know what it is, all I know is that his ability won’t have changed, just the way your coaches rate him.

Like I said, none will be on the list until we have future profiles worthy of it. Unlike other sites we don’t just throw random names out there, we do individual profiles on each player, and if the future screenshots we have aren’t good enough they won’t feature! Click a players name and you’ll see what I mean.
They will be added when we have good enough future profiles, but as yet they aren’t available…bar eriksen who is too expensive really.

I have only just found this site and must say I find it extremely detailed with the transfers giving an extremely good representation of how player turn out in the game.

I know others have asked about this one, but would love to see how David Alaba of Bayern Munich developed in one of your saves. He’s certainly buyable at the beginning of the game (I sacked my physios so he wouldn’t fail his medical haha
and got him at Spurs for 20M over 48 months). I’m sticking him on individual training -> positioning as I feel he could do with some extra points there to make him a more complete fullback.

Hey guys! Firstly I just want to say that as an avid FM supporter this is a fantastic site + the job you are doing is great! Everyday I check to see if anyone has been added to the list. I was wondering if you were planning on possibly adding more defenders, full-backs, keepers, wingers + possibly a few more strikers to the list? There are of course many great CM’s + AMC’s on the list (keep putting them on too if they’re worthy!). If you are planning to add more players deemed worthy, particularly in other positions mentioned above I sinerely apologize + as stated before truly appreciate the work you put into this site. Thanks Imarx, this list is been added too every other day at the moment and will continue like that for a long time so yes we will be adding such players, it just takes time.
I agree with Imarx, this is a fantastic site but more player profiles on defenders, full backs, wingers (other than inside forwards) and defensive/supporting central midfielders would be ideal! Thanks for all your hard work.

Alex Sandro is expensive at £15 mill but so worth it. First season he’s been amazing! I highly recommend!

Additionally, it sems like Wilshere truly does become the best player in the game with those incredibly consistent seasons of above 8 avr rating. As an Arse fan that makes me very happy. What other players that you’ve noticed are able to cross that avr. rating of 8 threshold? Wow…lots of questions there….sorry lol
I honestly don’t have a favorite XI and as for the above 8 av rating I think I’ve seen Gotze among others manage it but very few do.

Wondering how the fm12 french wonderkids are looking in this edition. The ones that I have in mind in particular are Sanogo, Ongenda and Niang.
Ongenda and Niang still look handy but not as good whereas Sanogo seems to have gone off the boil this year.
Aww, am quite disappointed. Really liked those three in FM12. Cheap and tallented. I kind of foresaw Sanogo’s rating droping quite a bit. The unfortunate injury from 2 seasons ago really did set back his progress. Such a shame. Home the other two are just as cheap this year. Can prove to be great prospeects for the teams with small budgets.

And Sanogo is also good for my team. He maybe not as good as in FM12 but he still got good instinct. Consider he can be approached to sign on January, he is also a bargain. Here is what he did for me, 1st season in Championship and second season in Premier League.

I’d say so yes, both worth buying, we just haven’t had chance to profile them.

He certainly is and he’ll get a profile eventually but these take time to publish and no one enters the list until they have a full report.
It seems that the sort by “Asking Price” column is broken…for instance, it will go from 1.9 million pounds to 10 million and then onto values of 2 million and 20 and so forth. Other than that, cracking list so far!
Thanks Mike, we are aware of the sort asking price issue, unfortunately the software won’t accept more than one decibel sorting which is frustrating, but we may be able to get better software at some point.
Could I point out that from what I’ve noticed, sorting the asking price did work before you entered N/A for somebody. If you were to change that, maybe it would work again? Just my tuppence worth.

Most of the screenshots are from an actual save where we’ve played the game, others are taken from a save where we have holidayed to a certain year.

Lacina Troare, the striker from Ivory Coast is a brilliant poacher. Maybe you could take a look at him. I believe he’s only 22 in the first season and can be obtained fairly cheaply. You may want to take a look at him.
I’m sure he’ll get a profile as soon as we find a worthy screenshot.

We don’t have any saves in which he’s improved enough and without a good future profile he can’t be reported on.
Jores Okore, the young CB from Nordsjelland? Think he’s a good prospect and I believe he’s only 1.3mil at the start of the game. Would love to see a profile of him from you guys…
I honestly don’t rate him tbh, he’s just not the standard I’d look for, but that could be biased on the attributes I feel a CB requires.

I have been looking for a good future profile but he never seems to reach a decent level, I just hope he can be developed really well under human management or SI may have gotten him wrong.

You’d have to play a minimum of 7 years to have anything worthwhile in terms of screenshots I reckon.

Not reached his full potential there obviously but still has a couple of years of growth too. I’m starting a save with him see what I can get out of him!
Tristan Berghuis is also a player I recommend, 16 y/o and can be signed with just 500k compensation. 5* potential at Man U too!
Yeah as mentioned he hasn’t developed enough in that shot due to his age, he needs a few more years really, but let us know if he keeps developing and reaches his potential.

Can i also suggest Ronaldinho? May seem a little farfetched but he is available for free in January. He is beautiful set piece taker, (2 free kick goals and a corner assist on his début for me) him distribution is phenomenal due to near 20 stats in passing flair and creativity. He will aso sign as a backup for most clubs for as little as 30k a week, he is probably my favourite player in my current united squad! Not great physical and can be prone to injuries but with players like Munain, Isco and Rooney looking to take over the Trequartista role! Bargain buy of my save.
On this site we try and just profile players that can develop as everyone knows the ones that have already reached their peak and can see their ability.

I find out that it is really difficult to get a Full back with a fairly cheap price on FM13. On 3rd season with Leeds, even with the help from your players list, I cannot find out one. Many good players here but all FBs are costly.
So finally I rely on my scout system, and after all I get this guy, Faraoni from Udinese for just 3 million.
I know our rule here, player must have screenshot in 2019 to be proven. So please just consider this comment as a suggestion, therefore you may take a look at him in future if you have chance. Of course if I manage to reach 2018-2019 season, I will give you all I have on my scouting network (also about Torje and Karim Ait Fana)

This season I also get Romeu on loan for 5.5 mil future price, and Carcela (AML) now starts to shine (7.8 rating) since I bought him 3.5 mil last season. I will inform you about them if they can perform it more persistently.
Unfortunately Faraoni has never developed enough in my saves but if you have shots from 2017 at least then we can look again.
For FM12 you had a before and after screenshot of Joel Valencia. Do you have one for FM13?

Verratti is unobtainable at the start of the game so there are many other more suitable players to profile for now, but he will get a profile. And Jadson has a terrible attitude to training, but his talent is undeniable…what stopped me profiling him before is that I always assumed he’d warrant a fee of £20 million plus, and that isn’t a good price for someone who is hit and miss on development…but upon researching properly to answer your query it turns out he’s fairly cheap at the very start of the game so he will get a profile too.
Fair enough. No offense meant, just two of my stars not being profiled was a shock.
I retrained Jadson to play CD – he’s great, and Verratti is a metronome passer… make Maher and Isco look like talentless chancers!

Yes, the lists will be updated as well. It takes a bit of time though.
Johnny is correct, I should have every list updated within a few weeks (I’m hoping less) but I won’t update the lists until every single profile has been updated….and when there’s in excess of 170 profiles it can take some time.

Darren, first of all I’m jealous that you have the time to profile all these guys on top of playing the game for 6 years! Having reached the 2018 mark, I wondered if you’ve had a look at federico cejas, richard de boer and agustin dalla libero? The second 2 are both full backs and cejas is a holding midfielder, all 3 are among the top valued players on the game.

Neal Maupay deserves to be in this list! I have him in Valencia and is 15 years old. Scored against Real Madrid in his debut.

But that is using FM classic, we don’t test nor profile from that version of the game. Suso will be profiled at some point.
Hi guys, a good question for you. How can I improve physical characteristics of my players. In other words, in what kind of specfic training should I place them?
Sorry but I don’t know what you’re trying to ask, can you elaborate.
For example, if I want to incease the accelaration of a player…
Just use the individual training and train him in ‘quickness’.

He is a reasonable player but with the asking price and substandard development in our save he’s low in the list of must profiles at the moment.

Hi, just got a suggestion for your site. was just wondering if it’s possible to compile a list of recommended players by the sites users that you don’t scout due to not loading certain leagues etc. i don’t expect to see any form of scouting just a list cause from some of the suggestions i’ve seen on here i have found some gems. just a thought
Thanks for the suggestion, the idea is right and a good one but in reality it wouldn’t work for us. This site is all about providing in depth information and players we actually research. To put names on a list that we have seen written but don’t actually know can develop would go against our sites brand. Thanks for the suggestion though, as I said, the ideas right. I guess readers can have a quick scroll through the comments on the three lists we have for further suggestions.

It is something we’d like to do but the only issue is we have a limited width for the writing area and adding another section would just scrump the names up even further so they are spread across two or three lines, so not sure its feasible.
