Nelson Oliveira’s profile in 2011 (after starting new game, patch 12.2)
Nelson Oliveira’s scouting report from Ryan on Man Utd
Nelson Oliveira’s profile aged 24 in the year 2016
Nelson Oliveira’s career history until 2016
This FM 2012 player profile of Nelson Oliveira shows a well rounded forward with everything in his locker. Nelson has great potential in FM 2012 and while he can take some time to really boost those attributes into great numbers, he has the all round game to become a real legend upfront. From the future profile above you can see he has great physical, mental and finishing attributes. And the rest of his stats are at a good level too. For just £4.4 million this kids a must buy if you can wait a few seasons for that potent goal scorer.

Don’t know how Pedro does it but I usually feature him in a lone striker role with poacher duty or as a poacher in a dual-striker partnership with either Rodrigo or Borini in my Benfica save. Results vary since he spent most of the first season as Cardozo’s understudy. Had to sell the big man in order to allow Rodrigo, Borini and Oliveira space to develop. So far so good.
Also depends on how your team plays. It’s like my Podolski experience. Play him right and you have a class act, play him wrong…

Can you check Borini, please. I got him for free and he has decent stats for a kid his age but I need to know whether an extensive investment is justified,
Not everything no…I personally think Nelson is more rounded to be honest whereas Sanogo is a beast in particular areas, Sanogo is definitely the better buy though.
I dedicated a lot of time to Nelson. He’s one of my favourite players in real life, so I wanted to develop him
I started to work on his phisycal attributes, because his speed is quite low (not at all accurate in reality, he´s very fast and strong), when it was decent, around 13/14, I started on finishing, then compusore, and them dribbling, I wanted to make him a complete forward.
At the beginning it was hard to get him to develop. I had him been tutored by one of my forwards, but it didn’t work. He only developed when I made Saviola teach him (altough they’re very different players). I gave a lot of minutes, altough he didn’t always corresponded. In the first seasons he missed a lot of opportunities, now he’s quite letal.
I think the main reason they develop so well, is the minutes I usually give my youngsters.
Nelson had a lot of potential, so it was easy to make him like this. (Potential well deserved given his perfomance in the under 20 cup).
He just scored his 2nd senior Benfica goal this last weekend.
I just think that his technical attributes should be better. He’s really good with the ball, in real life it’s the finishing and off the ball movement that he has to train.
Pedro you are really good at developing players and i was wondering if you could make a tutorial/Video on how you do it so quickly and soo efficiently.
So, anyone know how to run FM on a mini-laptop? Don’t get me wrong, I have bought the game, I just can’t get it to run on it. Works fine on my brother’s laptop.
N.Loureiro, I play fm on my laptop, and I definitely dont have a good one, but I never had a problem with fm 2012, but a have seen some friends with different problems, some of them solved, If your game makes the iniciation but do not run a new or load game, or maybe it has problems only on the matchs, you should try put the resolution “window mode”(em janela) I dont know if in english is like this in fm, so I wrote in portuguese too, well, putting fm to run on windown mode, you can use your computer without have a match stopped due to “alt-tab” as an exemple, also the resolution is lower, so it has solved many problems that I have seen, but I’m not sure if it can helps you.
Truth be told, It matters little. What you want is to get your players attached to your style of play. I prefer Nelson because I am a Benfica fan but I have to admit that Kadlec has a slight advantage over him in regards to base stats. Kadlec might start scoring right off the bat while Nelson will need to cut his teeth at cup games or coming from the bench. Granted, I am not Pedro Silva but that’s how I’d start training him.
I agree with Loureiro, when two players are of a similar standard there quality is decided on how they’d respond to your tactics…but Kadlec does start better than Nelson.
can any one also do the profile of Rodrigo also from Benfica? i just did 2 seasons with him and the guy is a goal machine! in the first season he scored 28 goals in the league and was the best scorer in the champions league.
darren could you give me an opinion in my benfica team, im on the summer transfer season fo 2014 /2015 . and i need an opinion in what should i do?
gk – madanda(free this season ), rui patricio , mika
dr – corchia, romario, andre almeida
dl – kolarov, fabio
dc – prestia, rodrick, dani wilson , Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
cm – Tolga Cigerci , pogba , bertolaci, hamsik, guzzo – weak point
amr – deulofeu , weiss , vadillo
amr – Griezmann, markoutz -weak point
amc – erik torres , Eriksen
st – cavani, tevez(free this season) , ayew, fierro , oliveira.
then i have some good regens for dc , aml and amc but im thinking in send them in loan
the question is if you change something in the team or if you buy some player to a specific position. And in terams of championship i own the champions league and everything in the league this season.
He does look like he could do a job but not really the type of player we profile, he’d never be able to be a top player with the best clubs and we like to to profiles of players with at least the potential to go there.
Looks very good, how do you play him?
This is a readers screenshots so I can’t say, but like most I think he may work best as poacher.
Yeah that sounds like what I’d play him to be honest.
Also depends on how your team plays. It’s like my Podolski experience. Play him right and you have a class act, play him wrong…

He could be good but I don’t think he’s worth a big investment money wise nor time wise.
So far in real life Borini turns out to be a monster-poacher. Shame that FM doesn’t always reflect that.
I agree, I think there are a few players like that, but they get a lot of players spot on and you can’t manage everything spot on unfortunately.
wouldn’t you say that yaya sanogo does everything he does, but better and for a lesser price ?
Not everything no…I personally think Nelson is more rounded to be honest whereas Sanogo is a beast in particular areas, Sanogo is definitely the better buy though.
Jesus, Pedro can make any player look amazing.. Would love to see how he trains the players, I’m pretty clueless to be honest.
We’ll have to see if Pedro drops by on this one.

(here’s a little example of why I think he should have more pace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPu3-ohV0e8&feature=youtu.be&t=1m5s (he’s number 16, that soots at the goalkeeper)
(regarding the technical attributes, he scored this in Benfica under 18s a few years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrYtZpgaq0I&feature=player_detailpage#t=107s)
Hopefully he can develop in real life, along side Rodrigo in Benfica.
Pedro you are really good at developing players and i was wondering if you could make a tutorial/Video on how you do it so quickly and soo efficiently.

Sounds like your laptop doesn’t have the right spec to play the game, if that’s the case it won’t work.
yep. but it’s just the resolution it seems, everything else is enough to play it.
I tried that too. Thanks anyway. Obrigado.
would you say this guy is better than kadlec ???

Yeah he does seem capable but I can’t find a future profile good enough, maybe due to the lack of good management.
I know my profile aint good enough but 2 more seasons and he would be decent enough but here are my current stats on him.

Yeah he’s the same as in my save but yours is just a couple of seasons earlier.
i am training benfica right now and i want to now if rodrigo, luis martins could turn into good players
rodrigo scores a lot of goals in my Benfica. Luis martins I don’t know if he turn a good player, I’ve never played with him in my benfica.

Looks good enough to me, not sure what you want in there to be honest and I couldn’t recommend anything as I don’t know your save.
the question is if you change something in the team or if you buy some player to a specific position. And in terams of championship i own the champions league and everything in the league this season.
Like I said I don’t know how different players have developed in your game so I couldn’t comment…but the squad looks good.
hey darren, you should check out darwin quintero as well. His stats doesn’t look too good but he scores a lot!.
He does look like he could do a job but not really the type of player we profile, he’d never be able to be a top player with the best clubs and we like to to profiles of players with at least the potential to go there.
