This FM 2012 player profile of Jordan Ayew actually surprised me a little, not because of his quality as I’ve drooled over the wonderkids fancy footwork when playing against Marseille in the Champions League. The reason it surprised me is because I expected Marseille to demand upwards of £25 million for their prize asset, the shocking fact that they only want £4.9 million makes Ayew a must buy! He can even be trained to great effect on the wing and has everything. Ayew can beat his man with flair, pace, dribbling and also finish off his chances with good finishing and composure. I would put this kid alongside the Kadlec, Niang and Sanogo standard of FM 2012 wonderkids, fantastic buy! Ow and if you’re worried about his scoring record in the screenshot above just note that Marseille used him from the wing and his best performances came against Europe’s elite which isn’t shown.

Hi Darren, I have Cavani as my right wing IF with attack duty, is a scoring machine.. I’m looking for another person for rotation, should Ayew fit in?
Definitely, in my game Ayew is trained to play AMR for Marseille and I hated seeing his name on the team sheet. I think he’d make an excellent rotational option for Cavani, just be sure to give him some game time though.
hey Darren, love the website, lots of useful info! what do you think of Vincent Aboubakar? Just bought him with Marseille for 7millions and he scored twice in his first 20 minutes. also what do you think of Loic Remy? he’s been a scoring machine this season
I actually like both players, Aboubaker has raw physicality and Remy is a complete forward.

Not a good enough no, that is why I haven’t profiled him yet as the CPU keeps messing his development up.

I have looked at him but the future profiles aren’t good enough unfortunately, I’m sure he does much better under human management but I have no such screenshots to hand.

I agree, while he is suited to the right wing he looks primarily best upfront and very deadly at that too.

He did with me after around 6 six seasons, he enjoyed seasons 3-4 but then dropped off the boil a bit and I put this down to his overall mental attributes.
i saw the profiles of damiao and niang and both are very symilar in terms of mental attributes, the only that most like to ayew is carlos fierro he might be as good as ayew in terms of goal scoring since they have some veery good mental attributes.
but for example carlos fierro in he profile have the right attributes but dont socre very much in Mu is he used some here else or just played as a substitut ?
Fierro has no trouble hitting the net, I know from him been at Malaga. As for why he seems to not score so many in the profile seen, I’d suggest he is been used more for his technical ability as opposed to a goal scoring role by the CPU.
hmm ty i dont really now what to do since i have damiao niang and ayew for the position but damiao( thinking if i sell it or not depending how he goes in this season) is missing so much that i regret the money ( 34 million ) spent on him. and niang since i have ayew ( is on a role ) and damiao i dont know if i sent him or not for loan one more season.

Hi, Darren. I remember reading you say somewhere to train a player in a new position until he is natural in it. Is this actually possible? Ive been training Ayew on the wing for over a season now and although he is very successful there he hasn’t attained the rank of natural on the right wing. Thanks
It takes more than a year and yes it is possible…when I said natural I meant if they are accomplished already…if less than that than getting them to accomplished would be enough in the new position.
Oh ok, thanx. So Ayew who is not accomplished naturally wouldnt really get to natural on the wing then. Someone like Walcott might though?
They could but it would take an age to train.
i have a question why does the price of ayew in my arsenal save he increased in 3 seasons from 8 to 22.5 million and in mbenfica the price decreased to 7.75 ?
There could be many reasons, Ayew could be on better form in your Arsenal game, or have longer to run on his contract or have just signed for a high fee with a new club.
they are both my saves and, but in the arsenal he palyed the same games as in my benfica save, the only diffrence is in the arsenal save i won the champions and i didnt win the league on the 1st season and in the benfica save a didn´t won the champions but i won the league.
The reputation of the league and club a player plays in also effects his valuation majorly so that could have something to do with it.

I relish the opportunity to see this player in action. Marseille has done everything in their power to make it hard for Ayew to score (putting him on the wing, and then putting him on the wrong one), and he still managed to be an influence! He’d probably bag twice as much playing on the left wing as IF. I can’t imagine what he would have done as a striker. I guess I’m about to find out
If he’s anywhere near as talented in real life then he’ll be one to watch for sure.
Well, after seeing him in action, I’ve got mixed feelings about him. He’s a fantastic poacher, finishes off those crosses into the 6 yard box nearly everytime. But other than that, he wastes so many chances, it’s sometimes too painful to watch. However, he gets 10+ strikes on goal on average, many of the situations he’s made himself with amazing dribbling, so I might be expecting too much of him. His finishing is still rubbish, but it’s getting better. Hopefully, he’ll be bagging more goals soon. I still have Fierro and Niang to come on from the bench and score before fulltime
I can’t seem to get Ayew’s finishing above 15. Individually coached him on that from the beginning and when it reachet that value, it stayed there. Over a year has passed since he’s improved there. I have good shooting coaches, top training facilities, put indiv. training on high and he’s getting a lot of first team football.
I started playing him from the wing and I have to say he’s really good there…. maybe OM weren’t wrong after all
Can’t explain your problem with Ayew, but I sometimes find players just even out when they seem to have more in them…maybe he will spike in improvement again within a few years.
I found that many players have a ‘potential cap’ and when they reach it, they wont get better in an attribute. Or maybe they will but it could take years. I suspect 15 in finishing may well be the cap for Ayew.
i dont know how many seasons you train ayew but mine in the final months of the 3 season reached the 16 in finishing an his composere is also in 16 so develope the composere of your ayew until he reachs 16 then if you want the finishing, try also to develope is agility
in my safe ayew developed quiet well but is true that is finish stoped at 15. But now im training is composure and i think that should be the diffrence between a finish development or not. And for what im seeing in the print and for what i have in my save, the development of ayew it will be very diffrent, because in darren save is a amr in mine is a proacher, and the training is very diffrent from save to save, and also deppends on the age of the palyer because he have much to improve until e reachs is true potential.
ihave a question bebe form mu is he ani worthing player ? is attributes loke quite awfull because of the injury and the lack of first team games but with games coul he be something ?
I wouldn’t recommend him to be honest, there will be far better options.
im have seen some web sites and bebe is on the list of good players . but of course depends how the cpu and the “humans” train the players
Yeah but remember most sites just throw lists out there to get on google early…they don’t actually research the player and his chances of developing…they probably just go off what they see and his PA, we actually look into the player and search through numerous saves, our moto is ‘if he hasn’t improved enough in three future saves, he’s not worth profiling’. Obviously we are always open to be corrected on that if someone has actually managed the player themselves and can provide screenshots of his development.
